Well Vasko did give a bit of a statement to the media.
He had not seen Karen since Sarah's 21st and that he thought she had done a runner on a fake passport and not coming back.
He pleaded for her to call him or his wife is she was not dead.
Now where was he on the 29th? I am sure cctv or phone pings will have determined where he was at some point during the day or night.
Sarah was to distressed to speak to the friend of Karen's that she had text that 4 word message "Have you seen Mum". The day following her Mum having gone for a walk to clear her head and not returning.
Though, a few days later she was on radio saying her mother had gone ballistic and just making sure we knew she was an only child. Not to mention that her mother would not do this to her.

IMO Karen was reported missing by her friend SH.

Maybe I have tunnel vision.:D

OMG ... I think you are on to something.

So, confirming the timeline. Karen walking/missing on the 29th. On the 30th Ms Hili receives the text but apparently doesn't speak much to Sarah - did she speak to her at all? Answered the phone sobbing? Borce answered and said she's too upset? She didn't take the call and sent a text to say she's too upset? (Ms Hili please elaborate!)

By the weekend Sarah has spoken to 3AW, the ballistic conversation, it is mentioned in July 3rd articles. In articles time stamped July 2nd there's photos from the AH police station press conference. We aren't told what Borce and Sarah do on the Thursday and Friday aside from reach out to her friends.

Many months later, the much maligned Daily Mail recounts Ms Hili's involvement. She rang Sarah back and her "next stop" was the boutique. One assumes she was ringing Karen's phone to no avail. Ms Hili was up and on it. She went looking.

Then the articles says "That message would kick-start a seven-month manhunt".

When it comes to crime, I find the Daily mail often has information before other sources and I will say it generally does not get it wrong. They seem to actually still have journalists, unlike many of the majors who basically repost.

Who reported Karen missing? Was it you Ms Hili?

ACA Monday in Brisbane, reporter ran into Vasko at Karens disposal site. Should be interesting.

Saw that will be good viewing, what on earth was he doing there, why was he there. Loved Martin Kings' comment 'and guess who we bumped into'. Wonder how long he was there before the film crew arrived. Wishing today was Monday.

Hi Emerates. It has been the most interesting day. I've been glued, GLUED I say, to the screen all day. Got told off too before for being "unavailable".

I'm sure this has been thought of previously, but did the Merc have any distinguishing features do you remember? In one of the photos it looks like it has a dent below the driver's window. The CCTV footage is so blurry anyway, but I'm thinking a car buff might be able to tell if there was something specifically different about it when comparing it to today's footage.

I think the cops still have the car

Will do a drive by tomorrow and update.

RSBM - Also my question would be when? I don't know if he'd have the balls to leave Karen somewhere and go back the next day/night not knowing who, when and how her missing status would be reported.

I have a hinky feeling about SR...........why does everyone (and I mean everyone) want to protect her?

All the while she's protecting something - what?

Yes and surely they would be comparing any distinguishing features. I'm sure they would be all over that, but just leaving no stone unturned. Sometimes a little detail can go unnoticed, but the footage is blurry and they seem relatively confident it's her car anyway.

Imo this has to be stategic, police with the help of the media pressuring the suspected parties. It's coming to a head imo.

It's about bloody time we had some action on this case...but why has it taken so long for this to only come out today? :fireworks2::fireworks2:

When did Martin King and the film crew arrive at the site? How did VR know the exact location of the site. I can't think of any reason why VR would return to the site. IS IT MONDAY YET.

I have completely lost my patience with the girl. Who knows their mother has been murdered, and clams up refusing to help police??!!
I think it is disgusting.

Yeah, yeah, she loves her dad. But seriously, even little kids who love their father have assisted police in the investigation of their mother's alleged murderer, their suspect!

It is not good enough. Not nearly.

If there was just one trip to Mt Macedon burial site BR must have taken the shovel (the one with the soil sample evidence) with him in the Mercedes SLK.
It is hard to imagine a regular sized shovel fitting very easily in that type of car. Certainly not in the boot. Maybe diagonally between the two seats? Perhaps this might be something unusual that would stand out in the memory of passing motorists.

It's got to be a setup imo by whom I can only speculate. Bring on Monday and bring on charges.

I'm wondering if ACA were making a special seeing as the one year anniversary is coming up and it was a chance meeting. Just speculating of course.

Yes for sure (covering the story, not a chance meeting imo) and someone put some doubt in VR s mind. Unless ACA has been camped nearby for the past year, checking everyone who attends the site.

Maybe 'Better you come to us, before we come to you. You only have one chance to 'fess up'.

Perhaps?

He's heavily protected by his silks.
He won't move unless he's told.

It seems too obvious but don't you think it's strange there's a ford ranger ute towing a mini excavator only a few cars ahead of a merc with possibly a dead body in it. What if they are trying to tie both of those cars to each other.
