Does anyone else think the police are now sifting through the Crimestoppers reports?

In this clip shows a 60 kilometre sign (built-up area) and many houses. It's rural, I wonder how many security cameras are installed around those houses or cars with dashcam or is that all too late? How long do the cameras store it?
Of course someone is going to look at an old fat guy squeezing out of a tin can. "What's he up to?" That car is a head turner....what was BR thinking?

matey :seeya:
Remember Paul Onions? The Pommy backpacker that Ivan Milat pulled a gun on? He ran for his life, a woman who witnessed it and drove him TO THE POLICE STATION. There were two independent witnesses to the incident!!
IIRC he made another call to the Aus. police from O/S to tell them "That's him"! again he was fobbed off.
IIRC it was years before the police put 2+2 together.
Dont get me wrong I love love our cops but sometimes it appears to be the lack of communications between Crimestoppers to our cops.
Maybe stopping to vomit? That would look pretty suss to me!

I don't think there is a lack of Communication - why would Police be interested in a similar car seen in June? Her car wasn't missing, she went for a 'walk'.
I applaud the officer that remembered someone 'articulating' this fact months later. From the word 'articulate' I would imagine it wasn't reported to CS and had been mentioned to a local cop, who has remembered the fact after Karen was found.
BBM: Is Borce a smoker? Standing outside the Merc having a smoke? Possibly threw a butt out of the car window? Looking for a butt with possible DNA on it?
Didn't TGY suspect a pack of smokes in Vasko's pocket? Maybe Borce is a smoker, too.
Now, that would go a long way to being a case clincher, I would think. Along with all the other evidence they already have.
SouthAussie, you're right. Any butts (BR, VR, AR etc) add to piles of Circumstantial Evidence.
Why would they be present?
??sight seeing for 'hide away spots' !!! :jail:
It's interesting they noted it to the extent of telling someone eh TGY, with no knowledge the murderer was up there at the time. I'm thinking there must be more the police aren't telling us. Surely he must have been acting suspiciously! Did they see him throwing something? What was he up to there on the wrong side of the road? Stopped to change his panties after what he had been up to?? What could the police be looking for?
Cigarette butts as South Aussie suggested
Handbag of gold and purse
Contents of handbag
The mobile or SIM card
Murder weapon
Clothing: Karen's or the murderer's
Something dropped by accident
Nothing specific as Tim Day said
Vest fluff (joking!)
Have I missed anything?

Would be garbage collection, would make sense ....![]()

I agree. There is more the police are not telling.
He doesn't require glasses for driving anyways.

Very smart thinking, CalliopeeGG.
Sosocurious, in photo he could easily be mistaken for his brother, with the distinct grey streaks in beard.
Perhaps he lost his glasses outside car, and police will find them!
My opinion is BR killed Karen at home.
It wasn't meticulously planned but it was no accident either.
It was end of financial year, a stressful time, there was the prospect of her leaving him and the possible promise of life insurance if he got away with it.
I think he killed her, put her in the boot of the Mercedes SLK and drove her body out to Mount Macedon where he placed her in that makeshift grave by himself.
I think he then disposed of her bag/phone/wallet somewhere around those early search areas (Gisborne, Toolern Vale).
I don't think anyone else is involved.
It is the most simple version of events but in my opinion the most likely.
Yes, Oona. KR, present or not, is associated with money, which is so important to BR.
I agree with your opinion being most likely, and the circumstances you give.
