Interesting that the Merc's faulty fuel gauge fixed itself ... I have one myself (not on a Mercedes, unfortunately!) and my trusty mechanic has tried many things to fix it, all to no avail.

:yeahthat:

I'm curious as to why Borce took Karen's car if she was expected to return from her walk and go into work. Presumably she used her car to get to work (as opposed to a bus)? Would she have taken Borce's VW Tiguan if her car was missing? If so, wouldn't that mean it wasn't available for Uber work? (The Merc wouldn't be much use for Uber work as, being a coupe, it doesn't have a lot of space for passengers).

Hello everyone, I've been off for quite a while ... I couldn't help replying to Pepper.. EXACTLY!!!!! No mechanic I've ever had has been able to fix ours either , it's a foible that will not be fixed by driving over a bump... I laughed when reading that... Maybe he could fix mine too... And the temp gage too....

I can't remember from the discussions of Uber - if you can request a specific driver can someone in the area see if they can request BR (then cancel obviously!) to see if he is on shift for Uber still?

How do we even know she did actually have $850 on her ? Who said that she did ? Was it BR ? Not sure I'd be believing anything he said I'm afraid.

Amazes me the number of men who kill their wives like this and actually think they'll get away with it. :gaah:

We don't and, yes, the information came from BR AFAIK.

It amazes me too, wwgy.

No, you can only request the nearest. That said, if a driver arranged to be out the front when you requested, you'd get them.

BBM: Weren't we told by a family member that Karen's father was deceased?

RSBM: I wonder if Karen has a stepfather who is still alive?

Karen had her credit card with her and it hasn't been used, right? If it was an abduction then wouldn't the 'evil stranger' have used her card? Tap n go or via her pin?

Borcey it's not adding up to me. :slap:

Any further questions are to be directed to Ol' Borce's lawyers.

Yup.... Add another pigs bum!

Not making any sense to me.

That's what I thought too. Tap and go makes it soooo easy...
The old lawyering up always makes me sus.

The fact that all this info is coming out for the day of the 29th....... Im having thoughts that Borce didn't have enough time....too rushed.

Could it be that Karen went out that morning directly to AR's before work.... then when she didn't arrive, say between 9am and 10 which would be normal start of trade hours, staff called Borce.

Unanswered phone calls got him worried enough to head up to Diggers Rest to AR's...

I mean the whole going for a drive to test the fuel gauge is laughable. ..... but if he was trying to cover for AR he could say that if he thought Karens car had been spotted on the Calder...

Mmmm.... messy....

I just asked one of our Engineers about the fuel gauge (not that I believe it either) - however it is possible it can be rectified going over a bump.

Are we sure family member is legit? No offence intended toward said family member, only trying to work through the inconsistency.

Yes, I think you're right, SA.

Yes, or has a strong enough suspicion to speak like this. She is clearly furious with BR.

I spoke to the person that I know who drives for Uber sometimes (2nd job). He said that if you want the jobs, you have to be pretty much driving around or located in the areas where most business comes from to get the jobs. Because, as you say, the request goes to the nearest driver.

The person I know tends to hang around close to the city on some Friday/Saturday evenings so that he can drive people who request Uber to get home after an evening out.

How would KR have travelled to Digger's Rest from Avondale Heights without driving a car? Are they linked by public transport? I think if she went to see AR of her own volition, and independent of BR, Karen would've have driven; especially as she was expected at work that day.
She could have arranged for someone to pick her up. Someone who's not had the courage to come forward (yet). Maybe that someone has something to do with her disappearance. I keep going back to the (bus) sighting that was reported earlier on when she first disappeared. I dont know why either cause it was checked out but we were told it wasn't KR. It's still bugging me though. *shrugs*

Thanks, emirates! As long as it's a possibility I'll give BR the benefit of the doubt. :D
