The previous day to Karen going missing was a Tuesday, I don't know what it's like in Melbourne but over here Monday & Tuesday for fashion stores are the quietest of the 7 days. So were the takings
low & BR thought they could have done better or where some missing? Why didn't the reporter ask that question?

THE husband of missing Melbourne woman Karen Ristevski says they argued over a sum of hundreds of dollars but that money was not behind her mysterious disappearance.
Mrs Ristevski has not been seen since June 29, when she left her Avondale Heights home after an argument with her husband, Borce, over the previous day’s poor takings at their Bella Bleu boutique in Taylors Lakes.
“No one knows what’s happened. I wouldn’t want to speculate,” he said.“My main concern is getting everyone to understand that Karen hasn’t done a runner on the basis on our finances,” Mr Ristevski said.

You are speculating when you say she hasn't done a runner!

Karen went for a walk to cool down after arguing over takings so her disappearance does relate to money as if there was no argument she isn't supposably going off for a walk to cool down.

Talking about a sale to improve figures, wouldn't you look to lay off staff if figures were that bad. Apparently BR was at the shop whenever Karen was there so store should be well covered staffing wise if that was the situation.

“No one knows what’s happened. I wouldn’t want to speculate,”. Not talking to the police or at times the media & not giving the full story from day one makes it hard for anyone to speculate! One could even come up
with a notion that an evil person kidnapped her.

I think it has always been about the money & the only truthful comment made by AR was that Karen was looking to leave after SR's 21st. Someone did mention that Karen had left for 6 months previously but I can't
substantiate that unfortunately.
Just picking up on the last sentence there, if KR left her hubby for six months as mentioned how come a police investigation wasn't swung into action then as it has now?

That is probably exactly what the police are thinking. Not the kind of lady to run away and hide (go voluntarily missing). If she leaves, people know she has left.

Spot on, SouthAussie. And if someone is spreading that rumour and it's untrue, one would have to seriously question their motive for doing so🤔

I just want to get into that Lerderderg park and start searching ... 142km2 ... pointless endeavour ...

How does he look at his daughter and keep her in this limbo?

Me too, Ozazure! I also want to check out that Antimony Mine that one of the sleuthers pointed out, it has captured my interest. We need a Websleuths bus to take us to all our selected search areas [emoji4]

I actively searched the local area for Karen's jacket and bag but cannot fathom searching lerderderg for her remains. How awful to actually discover her. Besides I was motivated when I thought her family didn't know where she was.....but some of them know. If that was my mum, sister missing I'd be taking BR for a little drive myself up the Calder and Karen would be found and BR might get lost. Oh and we'd leave our mobiles at home.

Guys, please be very careful talking about searching such-and-such place as there are some seriously screwy weirdos out there. Sort of goes without saying except I think people forget that these threads are accessible to the public and someone who is involved could be watching, waiting ...

Just my two cents' worth ... I'm not for one minute telling people how to post, but I am concerned for posters' safety.

:lurk:

Thanks Pepper77, good advice, best to just stick with Google Earth and Streetview, which I must say I find strangely addictive.

Imagine if the time and energy people spent looking for Pokemon could be harnessed for such purposes

That's what I was thinking. However this morning though I went to my garden shed and there were 2 shovels there, I realised then that most sheds have a shovel and if there were no shovels, I think BR would be under more suspicion.

BR being an Uber driver, I think he may have cleaned the car immaculately, plus the shovel, driven the shovel into his yard a few times on his return to make it look like it was used in the garden and taken KR's car for a spin to get a bit of dust on it to cover up his cleaning.

In my opinion, the disposal didn't happen where the pings were located, probably at a geographically opposite location the night before and the cleaning of car and shovel close to the disposal site.

PS: I'm a newbie to the site and love it, at least I don't have to witness my other half rolling their eyes with my theories any more 🙄😀

A Red Herring with the phone pings I thought, as well, so to speak.

Oh yeah, if I actually was planning it I wouldn't post! But appreciate your concern Pepper77 ... can you imagine the Roy Kronk x1000 weirdness if someone regularly posting on this thread went and found something!! Might derail the legal proceedings with what a defense team could do with that!

bbm...

Call for an Uber mini van anyone? Perhaps we'll get lucky and find a driver who knows exactly where to take us!

Sorry for being flip...I think I have "Thread 6 fever" and would like some answers already :(

Where are we at talking about POI?

Who is officially a POI?

So these are the earliest articles I can find:

JULY 3 2016

I don't know if the herald sun goes back and fills in photos to articles later without re-dating them, but it seems like the very day Sarah reported her missing she was on 3AW and they had the press conference where Borce is in the blue shirt. Police acted fast.

I was going to say if you thought she had took off for a bit, you might delay reporting her missing but we have since learnt she didn't show up to work and he knew that that day, plus he took her car when she was due to go to work. And then poor Sarah is the one reporting her eventually. Man I am concerned for that girl. She must be under immense strain.

Missing Melbourne mum Karen Ristevski: Andrew Rule takes in-depth look

Andrew Rule, Herald Sun
September 16, 2016 5:00pm

Mrs. Ristevski was last seen on Wednesday June 29. It wasn’t until Saturday July 2 that Karen's distraught daughter notified police and made a plea for help to find her mother. Police interviewed Borce six days later and he maintained he and Karen had argued at the house over finances before she left for a walk to “clear her head” about 10am.

If and when anyone is arrested over the disappearance and likely killing of Karen Ristevski, one thing is likely: detectives will be surprised if the suspect does not eventually lead them to some spot he (or she) knew. It’s a pattern repeated in serious crimes everywhere.

Incriminating weapons or clothing might be tossed away anywhere, often into water, but those involved in a serious crime rarely hide anything substantial — such as a body or loot — in a random place they have never been to.

Under extreme stress, it is human nature to seek the familiar — examples of this tendency are well known to the homicide squad.

Investigators, reporters and the public have heard many conflicting and confusing versions of what might have happened to Karen Ristevski.

But as the mystery moves from two months old to three, Vasko Ristevski's words sound all the more ominous.

“I don’t think she will come back,” he said late last month. “I reckon she’s gone for good.”
