:floorlaugh: I feel exactly the same way about this stupid Android eepad I'm using while tavelling, :banghead:

Hi Makara & LOL at the eepad. It's great when these electronic things work properly but frustrating as heck when they don't. Hope you're having a fabulous time in your travels and sounds awesome :)

It is good to hear that Karen will be soon laid to rest properly, and as this crime is still an ongoing investigation i don't think there will be an arrest anytime soon. Maybe after tox screens are back, and they might know more about how the poor woman died and build a more solid case?

'That resident told the*Herald Sun*on condition of anonymity that*police had seized the footage*from a camera positioned outside her house, which looks onto the Ristevski home.

However, the quality was not good enough to make out the driver or whether there was a passenger in the car and police were seeking to get the video enhanced, the report said.'

They thinking maybe she was in a passenger seat.

Is there any way she could have walked to the river without cctvs catching her?

Burning questions in the unsolved Karen Ristevski case
March 4, 20176:09am

"... A spokeswoman from the Coroners Court of Victoria told news.com.au the findings, including whether any cause of death had been determined, would not be released to the public until further notice.
“No details of the examination have been released to the public, only to the family,” she said.
The spokeswoman confirmed authorities were still waiting on toxicology results ..."

Off topic ..... does anyone know why some words are in single quotes, like 'special' bond, 'unplanned', 'personal' .... anyone know what they're implying?

When they say "personal" they may have retrieved evidence to show the killer was intimately close with the victim. For example wounds to the face an item of clothing covering her. My guess is there is a whole lot more data LE have. Given the limited information we have read perhaps they are waiting for somebody to slip up and offer more information that hasn't been released to the public.

I disagree that police are compassionate beings that care too much about feelings, they are professionals and decision to arrest is done by a person or few people at top when they think there is enough evidence to prosecute.
Imagine LE have plenty of evidence but decide to wait for funeral to finish and in meantime prime suspect BR disappears, police chief or whoever was in charge would be asked some tough questions, followed by resignations or sackings, protocols would be questioned.
Now we would have to spend tons of taxpayers money and resources to find missing suspect that could have been arrested easily.

I beg to differ over 38 years working at an Airport I have had a lot of dealings with in particular the Federal Police. The majority being strong along with ever so sensitive, should the occasion arise. We had a young Constable staying with us for a few months. Maybe they have taken the matter to a prosecutor only to be told we need more information.

Unless there is an altercation and police are required, there won't be an arrest at the funeral.
Can you imagine the legal aftermath and the media would have a field day.

Could be after Karen's funeral.
(I'm thinking about a week)

The statement by Rob Stary, who is best known for defending Wikileaks founder Julian Assange, fuelled speculation police were on the verge of arresting his client.

OT
Interesting article on BR solicitor discussing some of his previous cases.
The use of the media by prosecution agencies has grown in recent years and yet defence lawyers have been mute in the face of quite ferocious campaigns. Rob knows how to counter some of the propaganda. He gets criticised by some for being a media tart but I think he is the way of the future."

" ..... outspoken Melbourne solicitor who revels in politicising his cases and challenging the law on behalf of his often unsavoury clients."

Wonder how Borce found him, then.
Though being a media tart (lol) he has probably had his name and face splashed in MSM for a long time.

I wonder if Borce has been anticipating that he will be incarcerated and has been tidying up his business interests. That would be a red flag to detectives.

Absolutely.

I wonder if there is not enough evidence on cause of death to determine how Karen died if the police have enough to build a circumstantial case from what they have found so far in their investigation? I guess time will tell. I certainly hope they have some evidence to piece together what transpired to cause the death of a woman who supposedly previously to her being missing had an argument with her husband over their financial problems and it was the last time anyone saw or heard from her.

Rob Starry's firm does do probono and will do so on high profile cases...

Actually I meant to say Legal Aid work as opposed to probono...

The "piece of evidence" that the police sent to the US....I am wondering if it was to do with the enhancing of the "grainy footage" on the residents house camera to get a clearer view of who was driving Karen's car and who was in the passenger seat?

Lots of activity in the ants nest today....I normally don't look, but I thought with the funeral only days away, it could be interesting.

Here's my neck on the line....

The Ant is a loose cannon BUT I kinda feel for him.

I won't say if the affair was true but reading his FB page I see genuine hurt. I see someone who is a good person and most of what is written is about bad people doing wrong to him. That's OK because I think he has been wronged in his life, especially by his father.
He's been self medicating his hurts and I'm sure he is genuinely grieving Karen's death.
I don't think he did it but I think he was part of the turmoil leading up to the murder.

Yep I agree. You can feel him struggling to make sense of it all. Seesawing feelings and emotions. It'd do your head in...
