Once again I have to apologise. Here I was going merrily along just seeing poss's description of it (ALL ABOUT LIES AND FAMILY MANIPULATION). Yes I do agree now that it is a tacky headline. Poss's description of it would have been far more appropriate. Such a shame, because the article isn't about being gay at all; it's about drugs and their devastating effects. Still should be compulsory reading for young people, but without the headline. IMHO.

Which heading/headline is everyone talking about lol? I'm talking about the "Drug Addiction turned me Gay" heading....it's the only heading I see and I think it's a stupid heading. The article/writeup itself was interesting, absolutely..just the heading or sub title or whatever one wants to call it is, in my opinion, stupid for reasons I stated in my previous post. I know it's to grab folks attention and seems to be the go these days with writers/authors of articles... I still think it's stupid lol. No offense to anyone though...it's just my opinion. :D

Her behaviour is not what some people think they would do in the extreme situation of finding their mother missing and then murdered. People are different from one another and even different from themselves in extreme situations. If either of my parents were murdered, I doubt I'd be all over social media or MSM. For one thing I don't think such appeals are helpful in solving crimes, and I would resent MSM exploiting my situation for their financial interests. People have a right to grieve in the way that seems to them helpful and appropriate; there is no one correct way that a victim has to behave.

As for stopping talking to police: she's young and in a very vulnerable situation: she complies with her father's wishes and their lawyer's advice. That's not bizarre on any hypothesis, whether she believes him innocent or guilty or deliberately poisoned her mother herself.

I think her behaviour has been extremely bizarre, especially in the early stages, showed little concern with using any means possible to publically appeal for information on her missing mother

I think Possumheart meant me; that I was bullying the newer members.

No, if people have joined specifically to point fingers at S, I thought that was bullying behaviour.

That's not what some of us thought back then. For example post #605 in the first thread.

As far as I'm concerned I can't really single one of them out for odd behaviour, they're all neck and neck, with perhaps VR leading the field in the Oddities Stakes by, err, six lengths 🙄

And I'd agree with you poss. That isn't what WS is about or for.

I think it depends what you mean by "covering up". If she's knowingly concealing evidence, such as someone's confession, or something she saw, yes. Otherwise, I don't think only ceasing to make herself available to police could be enough to make her an accessory after the fact, whatever the facts of Karen's death. Legal opinion, anyone?
I mean the former.

FWIW and just to cover it as an addition, I don't think fronting or avoiding the media (as opposed to Police) means anything either way. There have been cases of guilty people being quite happy to get their mug on the telly while innocent but private people who have kept a low profile and also vice versa, with innocent people who have kept a regular media presence while some guilty types lay low. I think circumstances and personality type matter more there.

Have many of you realised that Sarah's 21st birthday was only 3 weeks before Karen's death ?

AR's phone call to Karen re suicide and family secret that had not been dealt with by BR ?

VR mentioned that the last time he spoke to Karen was at Sarah's 21st birthday party ?

Was AR at the party ?

Did something happen at the party to cause friction and arguments amongst the Ristevski's...not forgetting their financial worries and failed businesses...the mention of Karen leaving Borce when Sarah turned 21 ?

Could all these occurrences or coincidences have been the beginning of the end for Karen ?..

An unfortunate chain of events.

What was the catalyst?

Oh, I didn't take it that way. I thoiught you were just making an observation, as posters always do on WS. Sorry if I've upset anyone.

Don't worry p&g you could never upset anyone.
We all have our big pants on.

Verrrry gooood Itsapuzzel :floorlaugh:

I still think Borce Driving Karen's car with both phones pinging in the same area wins the trifecta.

Oh yes! Nobody has a bad word to say about him lol, his kids are taking the brunt of it. Once he's arrested, different story, I'm sure. He's no GBC, the delusional nitwit that poor Alison endured for all those years.
BR is a lot smarter, smoother, cool operator. JMO :desert:

I also remember reading that one of Kr's friends said she wanted out of the marriage for years.
The pressure building up from stepsons allegations whether true or not 10 days before would have been stressful and playing on her mind.
The comments about SR not getting along too well with KR in the last couple of weeks could possibly have been b/c she informed her daughter first that she was going to leave her father.
All hell could have broken loose that evening if that was when she decided to tell BR she wanted to leave.

Yes. This is exactly what I believe may have happened.
Sarah may have known of her mother's intentions, and now may face terrible conflicting emotions. Not wanting to leave her father alone, and thinking that she shouldn't have left her mother alone with him.
This girl may have been a constant buffer between the two.

If Ant is to be believed - and I think police would have checked among the people Karen spoke with - perhaps it was a phone conversation, or it was at Sarah's 21st birthday gathering (was Ant there?), or a friend was visiting, or it was said to Borce himself.

BBM
Depending on who you believe, Borce and Karen Ristevski were still going strong after 25 years or Karen was about to walk away from the marriage when she mysteriously disappeared.

Mr Ristevski’s ice-addicted son from a previous relationship, Anthony Rickard, told police, the media and anyone else who would listen that he “overheard” his stepmother say she planned to leave her husband as soon as her daughter, Sarah, turned 21.

Or if Borce is to be believed, there were no issues - except the argument 'that morning'. And Karen often going for a walk to cool down.
