And another thing I would like to know - if things were so hunky-dory in the marriage, why would Borce's own brother, Vasko, say that Karen ran away to China or the US?

Yes indeed, Why would he? Maybe she wanted to leave BR and take a break from the ongoing struggles and work in the designing field in China and the US. She was obviously talented and passionate with her vocation and was building networks, perhaps she could've found a more lucrative market OS without BR and the burdens of their business & financial history. Perhaps BR was not a part of her future? That plan perhaps might've upset someone profoundly deeply.

Sorry leesha666, I've just realised that I was thinking that the headline was ALL ABOUT LIES AND FAMILY MANIPULATION, when in fact it wasn't. I agree totally with your post. :blushing::blushing:

No worries at all! interesting article all the same! :)

China/fake passport was a sloppy misdirection that didn't work as intended.
At that point I knew KR wasn't coming home alive.

It is possible that KR's brother, SW, is used as informer/spy by LE, idea is to gain confidence and trust of BR and hopefully get something out of him.
So far he plays a naive guy but it could be part of a plan to get closer to BR but
BR is an old sly fox, battle hardened, it is a chess and poker game of the highest level...

Wonder what sort of "Production" the 21st Birthday Party was?

Mine was a Bbq in the back yard; I totally appreciated that; had a ball!.

But these days I find myself attending 18th & 21st's that are Gala Events; some over a $5,000 budget, PLUS the new car thrown in.
Some are big hits on the parent's budgets, but the precious teens expect no less.

That sort of thing could ruffle a few feathers if the value of its worth was questioned.

Jr: "I NEED a new phone!"

Me:"Really".....

Sorry all.
Back to the phones.

Prof Reg Coutts, who often serves as an expert telecoms witness in court hearings, told the Herald Sun that phone company records only captured the location of a mobile phone tower where a call originated, even if the caller was on the move...................

One of the things prof Coutts is quoted as saying is nothing works when the phone is off.

Tracking where a phone had been was also hard as information about what towers the device made contact with while on standby typically wasn’t retained.
And a mobile phone made no such contact when it was switched off.
“Nothing works when a phone is off,’’ Prof Coutts said.
“If a phone is sleeping, that is still on. But if it’s turned off — other than sitting on it or physically detecting it, the network’s got no idea where it is.”

So I guess the Prof as an expert witness would say that Borces phone did not ping on the Calder near Diggers Rest between 10.30 am and 2:00 pm because it was turned off.

Dr Bradley Schatz, founder of tech firm Schatz Forensic, said a phone’s GPS software was another way of locating where it had been.

“Certainly it stores significant amounts of data about where you’ve been travelling with your phone,’’ Dr Schatz said.
“When we’re able to access someone’s mobile phone and get all the data out of it, it does give you a real insight into where they’ve been and where they go regularly.”

Data also reveals that Borces phone was switched off for about two hours on June 29.

So if the data reveals Borces phone was switched off.

Does that mean it pinged near Diggers Rest outside those hours?

Why did he after having said he was home all day place himself on the Calder between 10:30 and ??? with that lame excuse about fuel gauges and bumps? Given his phone was off.

cctv of the car. Maybe it wasn't even Karens car that was captured.

imo

Kind of reminds me of GBC .... and the missing pj's.
Even GBC objected when it was asked/suggested that he killed his wife. But he was already on the stand when he made that objection.

Do we know what time phones pinged and were turned off?

Police didn't reveal times?

Yes you are right, the police have not released that information.
There was this article however.
The times have now been removed.

Amee #809 - thread 7

Mr Ristevski says staff at the Bella Bleu boutique, which the couple ran at Watergardens shopping centre in Taylors Lakes, rang him later that morning to say Karen had failed to show up for work, leading him to call her frequently on her mobile phone without getting any reply.

http://www.heraldsun.com.au/news/la...e/news-story/c0c30a0e5cb3c40bfcff881cab6515f3

Mr Ristevski's phone was switched off for two hours between 10.30am and 2pm

I am sure the staff and data have confirmed at what time Karen and/or Borce were called or made calls.

Thanks soso but the link is paywalled for me.

If the staff rang later in the morning to say Karen failed to show for work and spoke with BR, how did he try calling KR frequently if his phone was switched off?
Why would he switch his phone off if he had been told Karen wasn't at work..wouldn't he need it on? Doesn't make sense for him to turn it off really. Maybe the phone turned back on when he hit the speed bump?!?

That's not what some of us thought back then. For example post #605 in the first thread.

Some posters who live local to Watergardens have said that no posters displayed at shop or around centre. Being a high traffic area and Karen being known at the centre , it would seem a logical thing to do.

Most people think BR was busy getting rid of the body so he turned phone off so he don't get disturbed while in the middle of it.

That explains his Calder fwy trip, he is a nasty man to do that to a woman he was married to for 25 years

Oh yes! Nobody has a bad word to say about him lol, his kids are taking the brunt of it. Once he's arrested, different story, I'm sure. He's no GBC, the delusional nitwit that poor Alison endured for all those years.
BR is a lot smarter, smoother, cool operator. JMO :desert:

I don't get that impression , I don't think he has played the msm well, in any context of guilt or innocence

This is the tripe that sickens me with this pathetic teflon-coated lot.

MISSING Melbourne woman Karen Ristevski was not murdered by her husband and is in hiding overseas, her brother-in-law has claimed.

Vasko Ristevski, 56, belie*ves the missing mother is still alive and most likely living in China or the US, having fled overseas on a false passport.

That disgusting comment was so downgrading towards Karen.

I think he has, just by reading these threads alone. He doesn't appear to anger people about being uncooperative, everyone's given him the benefit of the doubt, even excuses have been provided - it was an accident, he's protecting someone else, it was shady criminals, it's anyone but him. He's certainly got something the public like, followed enough of these cases to see a huge difference to the way people see him. I can't put my finger on it, it must be his demeanor or something. Probably, it's just as well, he hasn't been charged. His son and daughter haven't escaped the wrath of the public, which is confusing, as BR is the mostly likely suspect. JMO

Is this what Vasko was alluding to? To dehumanise Karen's standards & that she was pedophile runner who would just up and go overseas?
I couldn't put my finger on why Vasco said this but I'm remembering Tiahleigh Palmers foster father insinuating that Tiahleigh was an uncontrollable runaway and GBC with the copious packets of Zoloft to make Allison look like she was a mental case.

All three victims were found in close proximity unceremoniously dumped.
