Ingham seems to be main centre. Mainly sugar cane farming. Large Italian-Australian community:

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ingham,_Queensland

Just to clarify, DJM / DJH had an ABN in the name of Lappin Landscaping from 11th May 2005 - 17th July 2006 - the main business location being at postcode 4580 in Queensland, not 4850 - http://abr.business.gov.au/SearchByAbn.aspx?abn=56852820171. Postcode 4580 is the Tin Can Bay / Cooloola area - http://www.postcodes-australia.com/postcodes/4580 (HP is from Tin Can Bay. Had to have been where they met). Hope that helps!

Yes you're right DaisyGirl, postcode 4580 is where DH had his ABN address registered to back then. I have to agree with you, thats probably the beginning of DH & HP, between 2005 & 2006 in Tin Can Bay/Cooloola.

Thanks, Daisy. Tin Can Bay rings a bell. If DH and HP met there, they must've had quite a long relationship. Was a fishing port, now resort fishing, etc. Only other activity of interest is the Australian Army's Wide Bay Training Ground (7th Battalion).

Tin can bat is where HP is from, one of my friends went to high school with her.
I find it interested MSM have mentioned two different cars in the car crash. One was a sedan now I keep seeing 4x4.

Thanks for that, Daisy. Makes a lot more sense.

She was known to Hazel Passmore through Ms Passmore’s partner at the time, Daniel Holdom.
http://www.territorystories.nt.gov....itory News_20151031_page11_NTNews_News_11.PDF

I've always assumed it was the other way around & that KPS knew DH through HP.

It is MSM though, symbah. Not always known for accuracy in reporting the 'news' nowadays, sadly.

It would make a lot more sense if DH and HP had met in her hometown and where he had a small business IMO. How old was her youngest child when the MVA occurred? That may give some clue about dates because AFAIK he wasn't the child's BF. Also Dinky may know more details through her friend; HP's ex-classmate.

Afaik <modsnip> wasn't DH bio child and was under a year old at the time of the accident. I think I read in MSM that she was around 9 months at the time of the accident.

Just for the sake of accuracy, if nothing else; 'The Wide Bay Training Area supports 7th Brigade units to conduct combat team training.'; not the 7th Battalion as quoted above.

http://www.defenceindustries.qld.gov.au/defence-industries/land/facilities.html

'7th Brigade is a multi-role combat brigade of the Australian Army.'

Thanks, Dinky. In that case, I would most likely guess that HP and DH met in The Alice, rather than at Tin Can Bay, so I suppose it's entirely possible that HP met DH through Karlie and not the other way around.

Their relationship may have been quite new when the MVA occurred if her little girl was less than one year of age. I feel really heartbroken for HP's children. I'm not yet sure if i feel the same for HP after reading DH was under the influence of drugs at the time of the crash; unless she was unaware of that fact. I've often suspected that he wasn't 'sober' and wondered if the person HP was 'angry with;' if not DH, was his 'supplier'?

As per TOS, do not discuss minor children.

They obviously got together before ALICE Springs and before <modsnip> was born if this is right

Could you paraphrase the relevant parts of the article, please Dinky? I am locked out of The Australian today for some reason. Just by the by, I think it's disgusting that we're expected to pay subscriptions for genuine news stories when every man and his dog's opinions are usually available for free.

(snipped)

"In April 2001, he registered the business to a Canberra postcode that includes the suburb of Charnwood, where at least one house was raided last month by police investigating the killings of Pearce-Stevenson and Khandalyce.

Over the following years, Holdom lived at various addresses in Queensland and on the NSW central and mid-north coasts, sometimes staying in a motor inn “to get an address for Centrelink benefits”, court records state.

In May 2007, aged 32, he was living next to a caravan park in Taree, 320km north of Sydney, with Hazel Passmore, who was six years his junior. The couple left the area quickly following a dispute over a caravan, court records state.

. . .

By April 2008, court records show, Holdom was living in the Northern Territory. The next month he registered his business to Alice Springs, where Pearce-Stevenson was living."

On September 15, 2008, Mr Holdom was driving with Ms Passmore and her three children, aged nine and under, when they crashed at about 10pm north of Marla, a small town on the Stuart Highway in northwestern South Australia. The 4WD rolled and the older two children, identified in a newspaper report at the time as being students at an Alice Springs school, were killed.

The two adults and a two-year-old were airlifted to Alice Springs for treatment by the Royal Flying Doctor Service.

This quote is correct IMO.
