Found Deceased Australia - Kristie Powell, 39, Bellambi NSW 4th October, 2018

  • #81

I was wondering if ice played a part. The way he ripped the door off its hinges. Takes some ice-addict strength to do that.

Sounds as if the diary could be among the things the detective was referring to when he said this ... "His commentary in general was probably very strong, very disturbing on facets of many things - not just pointed at the deceased. His overall commentary wasn't great."

So he made it all the way to Maitland. Heading north out of his usual stomping ground.

I was kinda hoping he would be found, but not in a living condition. The courts will never give him the kind of penance he deserves .. once/if charged, he will go into drug rehab, likely be evaluated to see if he is suitable for trial, if he is not suitable he will get further drug treatment, if he is suitable for trial and is found guilty he will not get a life sentence.

No doubt, we will pay for his legal fees, his food, his accommodation, his clothing, his medication, his freakin' safety .....

In the meantime, Kristie, her baby, her family, all have a life sentence to endure.

Sorry, but sometimes this senseless violence and death and the way our courts then treat the (alleged) perpetrator just makes me angry and sick.

Ch 7 - He's been arrested on outstanding warrants and will appear in court tomorrow. Depending on how his interview goes tonight he could be charged with further crimes.

Hope they get the info tonight and I hope there won't be a chance of him getting bail if they don't :eek:

Surely him ripping a door off the hinges he’d leave some DNA behind and Kristie did an Allison Baden-Clay and tore open his face. Here’s hoping they’ve got that DNA lined up already.

Yes, I think his DNA will be on the door, too. As well as other places in the house. Though they will need more than that, as he apparently used to work for Kristie and a good defence lawyer will try to infer that is when his DNA was left there.

I also think there is a really good chance they have other physical evidence. Those evidence markers outside Kristie's house may not have been just drops of Kristie's blood, and whatever CCTV led them to search the train station dumpsters.

I personally don't think he will be leaving police custody any time in the near future. Unless he starts going through ice withdrawal or similar, then he may go into a mental health lock up. imo

Ch 7 also reported that they were going through the bags he had with him when he was found.

I just hope they have enough evidence to hold him, as we all know forensics takes a while and we don't want him on the street.

Pray his skin is under Kristie’s finger nails and he has gouges somewhere. Was Kristie raped? No lawyer can sidestep that.

Drugs, I wonder if money was a motive

What a mongrel! Not harming the baby doesn’t make him any better but a lawyer might disagree with me.

So glad they arrested him, and only 45 mins south of where I live. Quite eerie looking though Kristies Facebook photos and seeing a photo from 2015 of him walking a group of dogs with her.

🤬🤬🤬 was found camping beneath a bridge in Maitland. Appears in court tomorrow.

Tip off.

He must be one of the most despised people in the country right now. It was only a matter of time. Didn't take very long for him to be caught ... thank goodness.

It is believed police, acting on a tip-off, located him under a railway bridge.

Oh this is heartbreaking. To be ripped away from your baby like that, she would have had so many hopes and dreams as a new mother, so many firsts to look forward to.. it’s just devastating.

So glad to hear of an arrest. May justice be served.

Regarding “no formal complaint” to the police, it’s likely her concerns were dismissed and she was never given the option of making a formal complaint.

I had a stalker many years ago and made calls to 000, had the police attend... they never had me sit down to make a formal complaint. They came, noted details of what he’d done and left. When I spotted him in the street they were too busy with other jobs to attend. I moved house about 40 minutes away and that was the end of that (fortunately).

Glad it didn't go on for you, tiger. So many of these cases are ones that could have been avoided... it's very distressing.
