I must have missed this little snippet in a previous article ... just noticed it in MSM from Perth.

"A TORN-UP card found in the pocket of a woman who plunged to her death from the balcony of a city apartment could have been used to warn people her jealous fiancé had her under constant surveillance, a court heard today.

Investigators reconstructed the note after pulling it from the body of Lisa Cecilia Harnum ....

"There are surveillance cameras inside and outside the house," the hand-written card read.

Crown prosecutor Daniel Noll said the most likely explanation for the card was Ms Harnum used it to warn anyone who came in their apartment that they were being watched."

New 'workout' video emerges of Lisa Harnum in trial of her alleged killer Simon Gittany

OCTOBER 25, 2013

"From behind the mobile-phone camera, her accused killer can be heard saying: "C'mon bub, do it for me" before the stick-thin woman collapses on an inflatable exercise ball."

http://www.dailytelegraph.com.au/ne...er-simon-gittany/story-fni0cx4q-1226746993562

That little video (poor bulimic girl - lifting those weights!) makes me wonder if SG is very into body building. His upper arms/neck are very strong looking, likes his women thin and lean.

Health Delivered? A personal trainer who goes to people's homes perhaps? Can find nothing on his occupation. Is there family money (they've already put up massive amounts of money .. and they claim strong family ties)? Does he/did he dabble in investments/stock/bonds?

He sure had a lot of time to monitor Lisa's every move, and keep his own body pumped up.

<modsnip>

Can't find anything on the Gittany name .... though it has Indian origins when spelled Gittani.

I wonder when he stopped Lisa from going to the gym!

"Lisa Brown, the personal trainer Gittany had hired to train Ms Harnum inside her apartment because he didn't want men looking at her at the gym, also gave evidence at the trial."

http://news.ninemsn.com.au/national/2013/10/22/12/15/balcony-death-woman-desperate-to-leave

"On one occasion, she was berated for training on a balcony with Ms Brown because there may have been other men looking at her during her exercise session, the court heard."

So, men may have seen Lisa training on the 15th floor balcony with her personal trainer, but no-one would notice him toss her over the balcony in broad daylight at 9.45am on a Saturday morning?

Two different lawyers, two different stories, then there's the accused's version

August 04, 2011

Gittany's barrister, David Price: "She had climbed over the balcony"

http://www.dailytelegraph.com.au/ne...eath-fall-murder/story-e6freuzi-1226107744413

September 30, 2011

Gittany's barrister, Robert Richter QC: the woman was a ballerina - and she could easily have leapt on to the balcony railing.

http://www.dailytelegraph.com.au/ne...death-court-told/story-e6freuzi-1226152337861

The accused stated he was then in the kitchen and saw Ms Harnum run to the balcony and step over the railing onto an outer ledge

One would think they'd at least try to get their stories straight!

An opening address by the state's senior Crown prosecutor Mark Tedeschi QC spoke of a relationship marked by Ms Harnum's "submission" to her partner, who worked for a company that delivers health products to fitness fanatics.

Yes, then there is this statement from Lisa's family ... which I personally consider closer to the truth ...

"However, her family said while she took ''dancing lessons when she was younger, she was not a prima ballerina''. ''She just enjoyed the chance to dance and entertain, something she was passionate about from a young age,'' they said."

Ahh ... thank you! So perhaps home delivery of supplements and such.

Don't like the look of SG's upper arms ... unnaturally large for his body frame IMO. Though they could just be large due to pumping iron, I'm wondering if he used 'banned' substances that also have been known to be mood-altering, and can allegedly make people extra-nasty and extra-strong.

Just speculation, on my part.

That is just SUCH alarming footage!!

Firstly, who films their partner working out at the gym? (apart from a complete "I RULE YOUR LIFE", "I WATCH YOUR EVERY MOVE" control freak??).

Secondly, it's hard to miss how covered up her body was - the long top would have been really hot. The guys working out behind her were in singlets.

And the whole "Good girl" thing is absolutely sickening.

So hard to be objective and non-emotional in this case!! There's just nothing subtle about any of his behaviour.

Uh huh. Unreal isn't it. Poor Lisa couldn't even exercise on a balcony with her personal trainer!. I wonder how long it will be before the new girlfriend feels the screws tightening?. No doubt he's been on his best behaviour during the run up to the trial though. imo

Already there has been evidence that in her final months Lisa Harnum no longer controlled her hairstyle, her clothing, her right to work and her freedom to come and go from the apartment.

I wonder what SG's totally weird fixation with Lisa's hair was about?!. Why wouldn't he allow her to wear her hair out?!. The quote below makes my blood boil!. imo

January 17, 2013

"Again I waited for you to apologise for your disgusting comment but you walk around like a peacock with your hair out and too proud to apologise.

"You lied to me and promised you would listen to me all the time.

"Obviously you're still the proud person and nothing has changed!"

I'm rather curious as to why SG opted for trial by Judge alone?.

Did Lisa Harnum jump to her death or was she pushed?

October 26, 2013

Excerpt: "That man, Simon Gittany, has this week sat alone in Darlinghurst courthouse. He has pleaded not guilty to her murder on Saturday July 30, 2011.

The evidence is being examined only by Judge Lucy McCallum - concerns about his ability to finance legal representation for the whole trial, and the chance to cut the length of the hearing, mean Gittany is not before a jury."

Excerpt:"However if the defence opt for a trial before a judge without a jury and the prosecutor disagrees then it is up to the court to decide whether it is in the interest of justice for a judge or a jury to decide guilt or innocence."

Hmmm, interesting - more at link. http://www.bakerlove.com.au/articles/trial-by-judge-alone---the-issues.html

Trial by Judge Alone - The Issues

Written on the 11 April 2013 by Nicholas Amos

New laws changing the circumstances in which serious criminal charges can be decided by a judge sitting without a jury commenced operation in January of this year. New South Wales has had laws allowing for serious criminal charges to be heard without a jury since the early 1990s. However up until this year those laws required the prosecution to agree that the case was an appropriate one to be decided by a judge and not a jury.

The changes that came into effect this year allow both the prosecution and the defence to suggest that the case be heard by a judge alone. If both parties agree then the court must dispense with a jury. However if the defence opt for a trial before a judge without a jury and the prosecutor disagrees then it is up to the court to decide whether it is in the interest of justice for a judge or a jury to decide guilt or innocence.

These changes have created some recent controversy with certain sectors within the legal community suggesting that the changes have placed more pressure on judges and have led to an increase in acquittals of people charged with serious crimes.

He was apparently in the kitchen making Lisa a cup of tea.

AUGUST 04, 2011

"Gittany's barrister David Price told the court his client had taken his fiancee back inside the apartment because she was screaming hysterically.

He said Gittany went to make her a cup of tea, only to realise she was out on the balcony."

"69 seconds between the image of Gittany clutching his fiancee and her fall" and he's in the kitchen making a cup of tea?.

"The court heard it was just before 9.45am when a female neighbour heard Ms Harnum screaming "please help me, God help me". Shortly after, the neighbour is expected to give evidence of "a single bone-chilling scream". There are 69 seconds between the image of Gittany clutching his fiancee and her fall."
