Our local chicken shop takes pre-orders for Christmas turkeys ($70). We have been using them for years. It removes the single biggest Christmas Day challenge.

Here's hoping Chris Dawson's Christmas dinner consists of tinned spam served on a prison tray.

Christmas lunch at a local men’s shelter for me and, hopefully, some new friends. We’ll be having turkey, ham and all the trimmin’s. Even if we do make it ourselves; we’ll be a lot jollier than the Dawson twins if Chris doesn’t make it outside. Merry Christmas everyone and special wishes for Lyn’s family and loved ones x

We don't have turkey and I picked my ham up yesterday.

There is a big backlog of flights out of Sydney today due to yesterdays hail storms ;)

Dang! That means no quick turnarounds. It’s looking grim...

Yep ... the lawyer apparently had a 7½ flight delay yesterday, due to the weather.

Mr Walsh flew up to the Gold Coast yesterday afternoon to collect the documents himself in a bid to speed up the process but said he was held back by a seven-and-a-half hour plane delay.
Mr Walsh said it wasn’t the money that was holding up the process but the practicality of getting valuations at short notice in Queensland.

His brother Peter Dawson is expected to lodge the bail documents today.

Yum and he will have to eat it with his fingers.

Headlines in The Australian just now. Sorry can’t link as it’s paywalled.

Court rejects Dawson’ bail documents.
Bail docs were rejected despite interstate dash.

Can you help @SouthAussie please?

Edit - Found a link that is available:

Chris Dawson will spend another night behind bars after his bail documents were rejected by the court.

Corrective Services NSW confirmed the 70-year-old will not be released today. It is understood there was a complication with ‘land deeds’ which hindered the processing of $1.5 million in bail surety.

Mr Dawson’s lawyer Greg Walsh visited Silverwater jail today urgently trying to get the bail paperwork organised and said he was “hopeful” his client would be released before Christmas.

Maybe Santa will be generous to team Dawson this year, they’ll need a steady stream of funds. Valuations, legals, flights for lawyers, mortgages, bank fees etc etc..it’s adding up.

Channel 9 just said he'll be behind bars until at least Monday.

However AAP understands there was a complication with the land deed needed to meet the $1.5 million surety, with the court rejecting his bail documents on Friday afternoon.

Dawson release unlikely before Xmas Eve

Is this delay, really just difficulty getting a valuation on the Sunshine Coast Property?
