I am keen to find out what the Judge discards, and what he takes on board. It's well known, no dispute about it . that strangling a woman is very nearly the last step to actually murdering her, and Dawson did this. Lynn had bruises. Lynn was, by anyone 's measurement, a battered beaten wife, and like so many women she hid it out of embarrassment, and fear.

Always thinking, oh he'll change, he doesn't mean it, ...

I mourn lynn, back then she was in the dark about what was being done to her, the coercive battering, the physical battering , the psychological battering. The isolation , the pressure to conform to Dawson's every mood and edict.

The judge will take on board Dawson's utter contempt and outrageous nerve to install Joanne in the family bosom to rattle Lynn, and to make Lynn doubt her own conclusions. He will see which way the wind was blowing for Lynn, probably more than any of us can, I reckon. He's seen them come and go, always with the same excuse......
Hope so troops

I am bothered about the throwing out 5 witness testimonys because IMO these people witnessed and support the battering down emotionally and physically of lynette.(No proof just what I think they were there for)
I BELIEVE IT MATTERS.

There can not be TOO MUCH supporting evidence of abuse in this circumstance.
There is so little in this case to work with in a no body found situation.

The prosecution let it go for reasons only they know. Picking their battles with the judge and staying in good graces hopefully not a wrong move.

The convicted criminal had a “loose relationship with the truth,” Ms David said.

“If you see a dollar in it, you will tell a lie,” she put to Silkman.
sbmff

ha!!
she knows all about loose relationship with the truth....
Her client is the king of it.

And it seems that Silkman isn't being paid for this evidence... There doesn't seem to be anything in it for him, as far as I can see...........except a defence barrister tearing strips off him.. Who would volunteer for that , just for the hell of it??

One of todays excluded witnesses was going to claim they saw Chris Dawson push Lyn down the stairs at a 1969 Shirley Bassey concert.
Wasn't that even before they were married?

Apologies if this has been posted before, but this is the last photograph ever taken of Lyn :

Hey Cliff, is that Lyn standing or is that her leaning over near the back with what looks like one of the twins?

Lyn standing with her arms crossed.
This looks like its winter time.
Everyone is wearing long sleeves and jumpers.
Lyn went missing in January when its usually hot.
This is some time before summer.
That's a shame if the last picture of her was 3 to 5 months before.
Or it was simply unseasonably cold for summer.

is that Dawson hovering over her int he background???

Even the man who made that excuse to me never blamed it on my lack of muscle development.
I’m sorry to hear that JLZ x

If the Robert Silkman testimony is true...that was in 1975....many years before Lyn disappeared in 1982. Must have been well before the JC era. Before the LD/CD children were born. Only 5 years after their marriage. I hope the Crown has more because I really don't want CD to get away with the obvious Murder of Lyn.

Was Robert Silkman only after the 200K reward?

I thought that photo was Christmas Day at the Simms place. The photo would be Paul. Chris was too busy hiding out at Paul's house. Marilyn drove Lyn to her parents place and was annoyed because she had to keep it a secret that Chris was at their place.

This is what the Daily Mail said.
"One image from Christmas 1981 shows the mother-of-two at a festive celebration, standing with her arms folded."

But it was Lyn's fault they didn't have children at the same time as Paul and Marilyn in the eyes of Chris.

The eldest daughter was born in 1977.

I don't think it can be entirely viewed as a negative. The judge may be saying he has accepted that Lyn had bruises as there were several witnesses, he doesn't need any more proof. Even Marilyn confirmed she saw bruises even if premised by Lyn bruised easily. Some could take that to mean Lyn always had bruises. The judge decides on the total evidence of all witnesses. This is part of the evidence with BM that witnessed Chris's alleged actions with Lyn they build the story.

If you save that picture to your computer it stretches out quite a bit bigger before it distorts and allows you to view more detail.

It looks like Paul and Marilyn in the background.

I know the picture is only a snapshot in time - and shouldn't be taken too literally - but there could hardly be more distance and less interest between Paul & Marilyn and Lyn.

Yes. I would assume it is Paul and Marilyn at the back. I had to check because I saw that picture a few days ago as a Christmas photo but when you see it as full size it looks a bit like a school and I thought it might be the child care centre.

Re CD physically abusing Lynette before they were even married - she may have later asked herself, as Suzanne Morphew did, "What was my younger self thinking?!"

IMO and looking at timeline, this was the period when it was discovered Lyn had trouble becoming pregnant at the same time as MD( the twins wanted this idea) so Lyn was playing ball in their eyes. Lyn around this time, IMO CD saw it as she was using money to have medical treatment (which was sucessful as she had two beautiful girl)money he thought to be spent on him.
Also though this was before JC Era, Chris and Paul were already having affairs, I do wonder was there a woman waiting in the wings which we don't know about she never come forward.
