Have I got this right?? I am hearing all the witnesses claiming to have seen Lynn out on the street, etc in hospital, etc, all have been somewhat discredited , dismissed as reliable eye witnesses to Lynn being alive ??

  • #224
Mr & Mrs Breese's evidence does not satisfy Judge that the woman they saw at the hospital was LD

Nothing wrong with your hearing Troops ;)

At the risk of making light of the seriousness of this matter, if it was a sporting event, the umpire would be looking to apply some kind of mercy rule - with the result seeming to be becoming a foregone conclusion.

Well let's hope so anyway.

Judge has rejected multiple ‘sightings’ of Lynette Dawson after her disappearance in 1982. Calling one recollection “false” and another, “frail, that doesn’t satisfy” him.

Whoa, not only being mistaken, but consciously playing into confirmation bias, in other words, lying thru his teeth... this about a witness who says he saw LYnn.. that's a hard , hard sledge off !... the judge is not too happy with some of these 'witnesses'

Another witness bites the dust. A Mr Cooper, unfortunately, has not impressed the judge, either.. this is almost a clean sweep of 'witnesses.

  • #232
Ohhh Mr Cooper now

Mr Cooper's evidence is completely unreliable

  • #235
Satisfied beyond reasonable doubt that the phone call material and the sightings evidence do not satisfy Judge that LD was alive after 8/1/82

  • #236
Mr Coopers evidence is completely unreliable & must be incorrect as Ms Dawson was already dead!

  • #237
Well.. The Judge is not gonna call Mr Cooper a liar, no, but certainly a person not closely conversant with truth, . and probably clouded by alcoholic substances,, and more, in the judges opinion , Lynn was dead when Cooper says he saw her..

tsk tsk tsk

  • #238
Judge is satisfied that LD is dead; that she died on or about 8/1/82; and that she did not voluntarily abandon her home

The judge has now rejected a sizeable chunk of the defence’s evidence: - All alleged sightings of Lynette after Jan ‘82 - Northbridge Baths phone call on 9 Jan ‘82 - Calls to Chris Dawson after Jan ‘82 - Bankcard transactions by Lynette in Jan ‘82
