So you don't buy the theory that she ran off with someone from a religious cult, some tweezak with whom she crossed paths who was not nearly as intelligent, strong, rich, or important as CD?
Yeah...Nah. Not a chance.

Four hours twenty minutes to go.

Just looked at the live link and it's saying it will go live in 3 hours which would make that 9am as it's a bit past 6am now.

Also says that it will be starting at 10am though.

I remember in the Simon Gittany judge only trial in Sydney, when Justice McCallum read the verdict. It took her 5 HOURS to read the verdict!
She went through why she took this into consideration, why she didn't take that into consideration, citing various precedent. Then finally she announced the verdict.

We were on edge for the whole 5 hours. Didn't realise it could take that long in a judge only trial. Apparently, the judge tries to back up their decision to reduce the chance of appeal.
That is the type of scenario expected today. Those of us hoping to know Dawson's fate by 10.15am are likely to be very disappointed.

Fingers crossed for justice for Lynette today x

Thinking of all her family.

The burden of proof is always on the person who brings a claim in a dispute and imo it can’t be proven Lyn is deceased and CD murdered Lyn.

3 hours to go…

I’m sad to say he‘ll walk.

Finger's crossed for Lyn and her family.

I expect the Judge will be as clear and succinct as to what happened to Lyn as the prosecution were.

Thinking of Lyn today.
May she receive the justice she deserves.

I am yet to discuss this case with anyone who doesn't think Chris Dawson did it. There just is no other plausible explanation. None.

I suspect judge Ian Harrison probably thinks Dawson did it too, after listening to all the evidence. But did the prosecution provide enough evidence to push it over the beyond reasonable doubt bar? We'll soon find out.

Fingers crossed for Lyn's family and friends.

It's interesting that Shanelle visited Chris. In the podcast she was very much non committal as to his guilt and seemed to just want to live her simple life. I guess facing the outcome of this being the last time she will be able to freely interact with her Dad gave her the drive to make the long journey North to the Sunny Coast. I really feel for her. I wonder how Sherryn is feeling as she was always a staunch supporter of her father.

My thoughts are with all of Lyn's extended family holding their breath for a just outcome tomorrow after all these years.
Hey C&l
I am going out on a limb and say I don't think that is Shanelle.
I think it is the other daughter. Sherryn.
DM get good scoops but sometimes are hazy with specifics and I think they have named Shanelle and thats really poor form under the circumstances. IMO.

Are we sure this is Shanelle? She looks very different to what I remember in the 60 mins interview. She's not looking up so I'm just not sure. I am wondering if that is actually Sherryn?
I agree Morissa
its sherryn
And I think she might be heavily pregnant.

Watching him strut into court......
Even the way CD limps maddens me...Its still like a cocky I'm all that rock. eh!
he is so arrogant.
Age is not being kind to him though.

I think so too.
I have a very strong feeling that, that's they way it will go :(

I’m with you guys. I have an awful feeling that judge-only may have served CD in this case. The whole world including Judge (I’ll bet) thinks he did it but judge will have many legalities to consider and I don’t think it’ll get over the line. Nevertheless I have butterflies. I would be extremely pleasantly surprised if they can deliver justice for Lynette today. In any case May she rest peacefully.

ETA: 1 hour to go.

His brother may be keeping his distance because of those other sexual related charges coming up for CD.

Even if the judge cannot decide he is guilty "beyond reasonable doubt".. he and his brothers, are certainly never going to be "innocent" of aggression, violence and disrespect towards Lyn and other women and girls and men. Unfortunately, I think the attention is feeding their egos.
To any of their victims, I wish you healing and peace of mind and success in your lives, regardless of the ruling today. Please know you are seen and heard and supported.
