Looking at the folder judge Ian Harrison is using, there are a lot more pages left than he has already read out.

Unless there is some kind of appendix at the back of the folder he doesn't need to read, we are in for a long one here.
I'm going to have to stop watching soon, boo hoo.

If I had thought about it a bit more I would have ruled out today when I made an appointment two months ago.

I can blame my fungal big toe toenails, plus how hard it is to get in to see our preferred Dr sometimes :D

Criticism of CD's lawyers submissions - Judge basically summarising what he envisages CD's submissions would be. How embarrassing!

When he looked away, maybe he was looking at the time. Maybe they will break for lunch.
I imagine they would.

Judge looks to be about half way through his bundle/judgment (for those not watching and relying on updates)

There's evidence of intention to be discussed. If the judge believes the evidence that CD was considering a hit man that will help.

From the earlier comments about the reliability of JC's evidence, it sounds like the judge does not believe the hitman story.

Judge does not accept that LD abandoned her home; she was not mentally unstable; adored her children; and despite evidence that the marriage was under considerable strain, she was hopeful and was awaiting his return.

I'm waiting for the "lovely drink".

And Dawson has to sit there, and shut up , and listen to this forensic destruction of his carefully constructed personality and character. He can do nothing about it.

Justice Ian Harrison: “One on view, Lynette Dawson had a reason to leave. Her marriage was over. However… it is not to my mind a reasonable possibility… to paraphrase the Crown, the proposition is ludicrous.” #ChrisDawson

Judge is satisfied beyond reasonable doubt that it is not reasonably possible that LD voluntarily abandoned her home

If this goes down the way it's looking like it might, those 2 other brothers, Paul and Peter must be eyeing off the exit door, any time now. ...

Just listen on your phone through headphones while you're there?? One ear....no one will know ;)

See you later everyone.
Looking good!

Judge does not accept Mr Silkman's evidence and the conversation on a plane is a fabrication

  • #297
i don't believe the Judge has to lay down how Dawson murdered Lynn, but that he did.

Interestingly, the Judge is rejecting Silkman's testimony. But not Joanne's claim about the hitman.. two discrete events. one not being dependent on the other.

On the issue of Robert Silkman and the hitman allegation, the judge says the story is uncorroborated and cannot be believed. “Mr Silkman’s version is entirely improbable.” Points to his history of fraud and the fact he first came forward in 2018. #ChrisDawson

legitimately honorable... Thus, the characterisation of Dawson's obsession with Joanne.
