Do Australian Courts also have a lunch break at 1pm (like NZ Courts do?)

Usually but the morning tea break was missed so maybe he wants to go straight through?

The judge accepts that Lyn died on or about the 8th of January. Is there any imaginable reason why CD immediately started lying, other than him being responsible for Lynn's death? I don't think so, and it seems the Judge doesn't either.

In the name of expediency, I wouldn't have a problem if Ian Harrison wants to chew on his sandwiches as he continues.

I was thinking the exact same thing.

JC said CD would serve LD alcohol drinks that would make her fall asleep

Things just going from bad to worse for Chris Dawson :

Justice Harrison said the Crown alleges that the evidence of two witnesses, then young boys who knew JC, being threatened by Mr Dawson was "a manifestation of Mr Dawson's attitude that apart from him no one should have any interest in, or relationship with, [JC]."

One of the witnesses, who can't be named, said Mr Dawson once cornered him in a carpark.

The judge accepted the two witnesses' evidence as TRUE.

Judge not satisfied that CD ever said to JC that he would hire a hit man to kill LD but then changed his mind

I think the poor judge needs a break! Nearly 3 hours.....

Justice Harrison says JC’s hitman allegation is “one of the most contentious issues” in the trial. He does not accept Chris #Dawson ever told his school girl lover that he once went to get a “hitman to kill Lyn” but changed his mind.
