I just reread the Australian timeline with reference to the popper. It actually says the used by date was 1981 which means it would not be from around the time of her death in Jan 92 as the used by dates are usually around 12 months in advance on popper juice boxes. Therefore it would probably have been discarded late 1980 or early 1981 depending on the month of expiry IMO

January 2000: Police conduct a very limited excavation in a small area around the pool at the Bayview house. A woman’s pink cardigan and a popper container with a 1981 expiry date are found. The cardigan is in pieces and bears what appears to be slash marks. Forensic testing does not make a positive match with Lyn.

Learned something tonight. It's just a generic juice box in Aus, doesn't have to be Popper Juice o_O

Popper - Wikipedia

Could be a whole lot of other stuff too...

... But why bury a juice box? Were the kids playing while the pool surrounds were being dug up.....
could have even been discarded by a tradie?
rubbish and littering is hard to identify a source.
good though they atleast got a date from it.

the popper would have been more interesting if it had an expiry of say.... post 1983 o_O

I just realised I did a typo in there sorry. Of course her disappearance (and assumed death) was Jan 82 not 92. Apologies

When I’m posting on my phone it’s slang, no punctuation and anything goes. When I’m on my PC (rarely) I follow the rules I was taught at school. It’s weird. Maybe like writing an email compared to sending a text.
I’m a spelling Nazi so feel free to call me out K-Mac

While shopping today I happened to check out the expiry on the poppers. It was Sept 19. So I don’t think that popper has any relevance to Lyn’s disappearance. Especially if we knew Lyn wore that jumper in 1981. I’m not sure that we will ever find evidence of that. Family may have photo evidence perhaps

I never knew Lynette Dawson but I honoured her life this weekend by planting some pink flowers. Lynette know you were dearly loved and missed by your loved ones and now due to the media presence you also have a special place in so many hearts who never knew you but have you now in our hearts and minds seeking justice for you and your family.

Sorry can’t work out how to post a pic.

Julie Andrew, a neighbour said it was Lyn's favourite cardigan. I would expect that if it was Lyn's favourite cardigan it would be in recent memory of Julie. Just because a juice container was found doesn't mean that the cardigan wasn't related to Lyn's death. I just can't imagine a cardigan with so many possible stab holes relating to any other incident and Lyn surviving it.

Chris might have got a special because the popper was near use by date. Late 1981 is close to early 1982.

-the discovered cardigan has been identified as being lyns favourite via friend.
- the discovered cardigan has identified via detectives stab marks
- the cardigan is buried at the property at the spot were suspicion is placed by joanne.
-chris hassles new owners about what they doing around the place and snoops about every time he is in Sydney.

imo if lyn isn't there......SHE WAS.....she had to be.

a very cold desperate person digs up a dead body (whom you once loved and shared your life with ....)and moves to a more undetectable environment.
gruesome....I would hope somebody capable of such has flash backs.
be interesting to know if he has QUIETLY unexplained PTSD brought on by ones own stupidity.
not that I care or anything for clarity
