Just a quick one here. Both cards had hairdresser (Fr Coifeusse) but it was falsely translated as domestic by someone?
Yes I missed it on the first one

A while ago now I translated a document about the history of the Belgian Gendarmerie that stated that horses had been phased out of use by the time Aka had joined and had been replaced by mobile units using faster bicycles, so I have long doubted the horse injury story (which was also reported in later NAA documents to have been in 1960)!
Based on his stories it happened to someone and he liked the story (it sounds better than I’m a lousy driver and kept have car accidents) so some other persons story has become his own… or maybe he fell off his bike lol

I've taken my eye off the ball when it comes to IK and the baby - but could it possibly be the baby was adopted to a new family ? A hidden pregnancy and an adopted baby ?
baby adoption scam was my vote a few weeks ago!

I wonder how he swung the Belgian pension then? Maybe like you said, he fell off his bike

This address is connected to the Reid/Weightman family.
The Port Reeve's House

Family travelled extensively,
Hugh Ronald Reid U.N. with Melbourne connection.

There just doesn't seem to be enough time to get a divorce from Wouters in Budapest but who knows how they operated. I haven't found a divorce certificate.
If Ilona married Michael John Reid in Hungary maybe some other U.N. officials were there at the wedding or maybe it was rushed through? I don't think a marriage certificate has been found.
Were they connected to Claire de Hedervary U.N. hence all the redacted info ? She also worked in Japan.

These old newspaper clippings are interesting, my brain has broken down can anyone work out what the letters mean.

@MrsWattle what a gem!

It seems that Lt Hugh Ronald Reid RANVR and Joyce Leonore Weightman WAAF married 28 June1943

with their Son Michael born 7 September 1944

CAME OUT to Australia 1951 !

Just in time for the Wouters to meet him.......RB at inquest 'she ran away to Melbourne with another man'...
( making more and more sense as we move along)

It is possible that IK DID meet MJR here in Australia!

Well, he said he got a big compensation payout but I have always wondered if it was yet another "Walter Mitty" moment and story to explain suddenly "coming into a large amount of money" (IMO obtained by other means!)

Wonder what the M.304 in handwriting stands for on back of IW's card.
And the back of WW's card, RMO A189573.
I was wondering if it was actually RA10 rather than RMO on the back of WW's card and interestingly that is the old residence permit class for NZ. So maybe it has something to do with his "residence permit" in Australia? (unless of course there's an even bigger plot twist with WW having residency in NZ?! Just kidding!). So by the same reasoning maybe M304 has something to do with Migrant class (M.47 being one of the forms that was completed for application to migrate in NAA files)
It makes sense that a border control would note anything in terms of visas on the Official section of the departure and arrival cards?

True, but his testimony about a Belgian pension (albeit probably small) would be easily verified by police, so I'm thinking he probably is receiving one. These two have milked the system here in Australia for 36 years. I wonder how many of his victims now suffer with PTSD!

Looks like the W family have dual passports and do a lot of traveling!
What is the fathers business ?? It isn't a small cafe in Sydney that is for sure.
Pretty Sure I am ruling that one out.

Thanks Gymtonic, another puzzle solved, indebted :)

Interesting to see they've been to New Zealand, in light of @gymtonic's recent post re NZ. I hadn't thought about RB venturing over there, but maybe so. Interesting.

I just wanted to point out that the title "company Director " isn't necessarily some one really wealthy , even though it is a form of wealth creation by millions of people ....

A friend of mine for example received a payout re thalidomide . His father who was a publican at the time sent up a family trust like company by buying industrial sheds and his son was considered a Director .
It built his deserved windfall into wealth for his health for life .
