I am not sure on the "he killed Marion to keep her from going to authorities or police" so far he has shown very little care if the police know or his family, he uses the name DH to fraud women in Australia and oversea's while telling them he lives in Aus, the name DH is easily traced in Australia, he tried to scam a "friends" wife JO, who could easily identify him, asks a Neighbour if they know anyone who can make a press to make fake coins, he has a Neighbour sign a passport photo is another name, no shame is doctoring coins in front of people, tells people he is claiming a disability allowance when clearly he doesn't look like he needs one and travels the world.

He is hiding in plain sight and is so confident in his ability to weasel out of anything, and clearly has, he doesn't seem to need to get rid of any witnesses

If he did kill her I don't think it was because she threatened the police or going to his family, I think she would have been in a long line of people who has probably door stopped him and his family, pretty sure they are used to it ... that's why they need to fess up

This makes perfect sense so the question is what was his motive ? If not to avoid detection? I don’t believe she disappeared f her own accord. So let’s assume he did murder her… why? Anger got the better of him after a confrontation?

Agree with Cortina too that there were lots of young Aussies working as teaching assistants or in bars and shops in the UK on a working holiday visa. These are easy to get and cover a working holiday to the UK of up to 21 years. But you have to be under 30. It's a gap year, or post-uni thing.

Marion would not have qualified.

I don't know how maroons teaching qualifications would have been assessed to at least help out in a primary school....remember my friend...over 30....qualified in their eu country to teach English and history at a level, offered a job to teach French at a level when the last French they'd done in school. themselves was at the age of 16

We do know from the inquest that MB's dentist (at TUH St Paul's Terrace Centre) witnessed the application for the new passport in the name of FNMR on 20 May 1997, so we can assume from this that she did change her name herself. The Dentist said he had no independent memory but was sure he would have seen evidence of name change prior to signing.

No independent memory of a regular stable normal average woman, housewife, mother, and teacher, changing her name to 'Florabella Natalia Marion Remakel'...

Maybe he never signed it? Maybe a forger signed it. Or maybe he scribbled his signature on something and didn't read the details?

I know this dentist...he was my dentist. He is trustworthy. He did not sign the name change documents. He witnessed the passport application. Maybe you misread my post?

After listening to the Recap episodes, I'm no so sure he isn't killing women for deeper reasons. The ultimate form of control is to take someone's life. He kills because he can, especially if a woman is totally estranged from all her contacts. Again, jmho.

I agree with this if he does kill it's because he is deeply twisted and sick in the head, and not because he cares if a victim reports him to the police, or his family been confronted by a fleeced women he has no shame about that.

Just like Mrs Andree Flamme tracked him down because he used his family's surname, they are the only ones in the country with that surname, of all the fake names he has he uses his wife and children's surnames to commit crimes ??

Apologies, I was getting mixed up and mis-remembered something. I always thought he signed something to do with her name change and was astounded anyone could forget that bizarre name. I am glad to hear a) that I am muddled; and b) the dentist is trustworthy as that's one factor can be removed from this shady equation.

I agree with this too, that perhaps he has a primal basic hatred of women. God only knows how far such a thing could extend. Personally, I believe that people who are excessively controlling tip into violence when they find that their words and other forms of coercion and manipulation aren't working, they are often very controlled people and have a hierarchy of manipulation tools, violence being the last resort but by the point they have needed to use that one they want the 'problem' shutting down and eradicating immediately.

Here is a theory - that perhaps with Marion being a teacher of young boys, she was very used to managing and not engaging with childish unrealistic coercive arguments. Even worse, she was very used to taking charge in that situation. Maybe if she saw through RB, which let's face it she was bound to eventually, she couldn't be so easily dissuaded from the truth by fibs, excuses, and illogical arguments? JMO MOO

It's typical predator - prey dynamic. Separate the prey from the group, isolate, confuse them, strip their assets, deprive resources, tire them out, then kill.

I wonder if RB didn’t take it too far, maybe DdH did.
Depending on who was in charge of preparation/administration of the poison. It could have been intentional or accidental.
I’d like to look at DdH through different lenses and see if there’s anything in her background that could indicate poisons knowledge/interest.
Maybe he had the confidence con and she took care of the poisoning etc. which may have been why he had an Interest in the poisons book.
If Diane was the poison person he wouldn’t want a woman being better at something than him. He’d work to surpass her I’m sure.
I think they both brought something to the con. You wouldn’t put up with that psycho if you didn’t have a hand in it.

I am more convinced than ever now that DdeH plays a HUGE part in all this.
She may be under some control with him but she has had ample opportunity, surrounded by her own family and her children, to stand up now and tell them what she knows, unless of course she has more to lose then her dignity.

I'm now wondering after reading all the recent information and the podcast, if there is some sort of organised crime with organ transplants ~ eg healthy livers.

He finds vulnerable women with no ties and lots of money, collecting documents for future real estate scam, brings the women to Bali, they are disposed of, organs used, back home to find more victims.

He obviously knows Bali VERY well.

Still of the belief he isnt on this rodeo alone. He has to have an accomplice somewhere.

I know he was being shared to the Aussie Bali page, but I wonder what the TLV team are doing to contact places in bali (I'd probably check the place his daughter got married) I wonder if he did bring them over and might have looked at places they would want to get married, while "looking for property to buy" It sucks that it has been so many years before the connections were made.
