"NSW Police will be out in massive numbers, in some cases carrying weapons and firearms you haven't seen before," he said.
He later elaborated that officers would be carrying longarms, which is atypical for NSW Police.
He also said the state was "in discussions" about whether the military could become involved in general security operations.
Plans to shut down prayer halls
Community prayer halls could be shut down under new legislation being prepared by the state government, if they are found to give a podium to "hate preachers"."No organisation that preaches hate should have access to any government money under any circumstances," Minns said.
He said the government could even cut off such buildings from power and water as part of a shutdown.

‘Just take the gun from him’: Bondi hero Ahmed al Ahmed gives first interview since attack
The hero of the Bondi terror attack has revealed what he told one of the killers after snatching his rifle off him in a powerful first interview.In an interview with America’s CBS News aired on Monday morning, Mr al-Ahmed said he “didn’t worry about anything” except for the lives he could potentially save.
“My target was just to take the gun from him, and to stop him from killing a human being’s life and not killing innocent people,” he told the outlet.
“I know I saved lots, but I feel sorry for the lost.”

Government releases terms of reference for post-Bondi intelligence probe
The Albanese government has revealed what a probe into intelligence and law enforcement services will cover.“Mr Richardson will assess whether Commonwealth agencies performed to maximum effectiveness,” he said.
“He will consider what these agencies knew about the alleged offenders before the attack, the information sharing between Commonwealth agencies and between Commonwealth and state agencies, what judgments were made and actions taken by agencies, whether there were any additional measures the Commonwealth agencies could have taken to prevent the terrorist attack, whether Commonwealth agencies were prevented from taking prohibitive actions by the current legislative framework and authorising environment, what additional measures should be taken by relevant Commonwealth agencies to prevent similar attacks occurring in the future including whether they have adequate legislative powers, systems, processes and procedures including in regards to information sharing, whether warrant and data access regimes and powers are adequate, and whether any legislative amendments are required.”
He said the report would be ready by April.
Mr Albanese has resisted mounting calls for a Commonwealth royal commission, saying it would take too long.

NSW Police are hunting the source of an illegal 3D-printed shotgun speed-loader found at the Campsie address linked to the alleged Bondi Beach terror attack.Paraphrased:
Police have extensively searched a property in the Southern Highlands @ Crookwellwhere alleged terrorists Naveed Akram and his father Sajid practised their shooting before the Bondi Beach terror attack.
Photos of them there, were founds on phones @ the Bonnyrigg home
Property linked to a Sydney gun club where SA was a member. Police have found no no criminals or organisations which are connected to the property.

Crookwell is about 200kms from Bonnyrigg, it's down near Goulburn ( about 45kms inland from Goulburn Supermax Correctional Centre - where NA will eventually spend the rest of his life IMO )

But you are assuming that all revocations are proper and based upon proper evidence. What harm is there in allowing the revocation to be reviewed by a court?Do you know how many unsuitable people have had their firearms license restored? I don't, but I bet it has been an issue - for this law to have been enacted.
Seeing that judges have let dangerous people out of prison - as previously linked in this thread - it wouldn't surprise me to learn that dangerous people have had firearms licenses restored in the past.
The firearms registry, run by the NSW Police Force, can revoke a licence if the holder is found to no longer be a "fit and proper person" — an ongoing test which involves checks on character, honesty, lawfulness, mental health, and history of domestic violence or other concerning police interactions.
Also .... when people had their firearms licences renewed — which will now be every two years following the bill's passage — it included additional checks to ensure that people's mental health is not an adverse factor or one that would negatively impact public safety.

Australian federal police are reviewing security camera footage from the duo’s month-long trip to Davao in November
The alleged Bondi attack shooters did not receive training or come into contact with a broader terror cell while visiting the Philippines, according to current assessments by federal police, with initial investigations indicating the father and son acted alone.
The initial assessment from the Philippine national police was that the individuals rarely left their hotel, and there was no evidence to suggest they received training or underwent logistical preparation for their alleged attack, Barrett told a press conference on Tuesday.
However, she added: “I am not suggesting that they were there for tourism.”
CCTV footage capturing the pair’s stay in the Philippines has been provided to the AFP.
“What this points to, and I will again advise this is a point in time assessment, is that these individuals are alleged to have acted alone,” Barrett said.
