It looks as if most of you are now agreeing with at least some of the scenario I posted about a week ago.
That is that AK could have been the one who drove MC to the Bournda Beach area to hide away where MC had attended a school camp.
Most of us have now agreed that he would not have driven her there in his Audi as that would have stood out.
My theory was that he hired a car for the purpose. But could he have used her Mercedes instead?
They could have left after OC went to school but could he have been back home before OC arrived home from school?
This journey Dover Heights to Bournda Beach would have taken 5 hr 55 min (451.9 km) via Princes Hwy/A1
So he would have needed at least 12 hours just for the driving.
If they left at 5.30am when OC heard the door bang, AK would not have been back home until 5.30pm if he just drove her there, turned around and drove back again straight away.
You would not expect OC to lie on AK's or his mother's behalf. So if AK or MC did not bang the door, who did?
I guess you could argue that OC is old enough to let himself into the house after school.
Have the police asked OC if AK was home when he arrived home from school?
Could AK and MC have left soon after the raid and AK arrived home at 5.30am?
Assuming they left as early as 8.30pm, and the return journey took 12 hours, AK could not have arrived home until 8.30am so who banged the door at 5.30am?
So perhaps a possible scenario is that when AK got up that morning and MC was not around, AK might have asked OC where his mother was. OC tells him that he heard the door bang at 5.30am so they both assumed she had gone for a walk. But when she did not return before OC went to school, AK might have told OC that he would drive around to "all her favourite spots" and if he was not home when he arrived home from school, not to worry as he could still be out looking for her. In this case, MC might have been up and banged the door so that OC would hear it and think she had gone for a walk. She then hid from OC and did not emerge until after he went to school. Then AK and MC left. Now I would imagine that OC could have been worried about his mother all day and at least could have phoned his father or his grandparents to ask them had they heard from MC as AK was not at home when he arrived home from school? But, as AK could have warned him that he might not be home, perhaps he did not worry.
The rental car and isolated accommodation (for 3 months? with keys in a lockbox) could have been booked the night after the raid and food and shakes, etc taken.
What do you think?
