That is certainly ambiguous. I read that as "A neighbour said she (i.e. The neighbour) was home, and recalled unusual noises from the apartment downstairs".

Implying that the neighbour lived in the apartment above MH's place.

So the flatmate COULD have been out and come back to find the mess. With the neighbour upstairs being the one who heard the noises.

That quote also says (bearing in mind it was from MSM) that the flatmate discovered the man's unconscious body. So he was well on the way to dying when found. And wouldn't be moaning at that stage.

So if the upstairs lady heard moaning and noises, that may be why the police appear to be suggesting the attack was around 02:30. And that further adds to the puzzle as to why MH didn't try to control the bleeding and call for help over the time between the attack and when he was found around 03:00.

Exactly.

Is it saying that the neighbour was home and heard the noises, or is the neighbour saying that Jean was home and heard noises downstairs?

And that quote is the reworded one! The original was even more confusing.

Interesting, out of the box thinking. I have been considering a male perp.
I know the police are reporting a female, but I could see a man getting pizzed off
if he was seeing someone who was MH BC, getting angry, and acting on the anger.

When I first read about this case I thought back to another murder which happened on the Gold Coast a couple of years back. A lead singer in a nightclub was bashed to death....no weapon was found. Majority of folks thought it may have been one of the guy's many ex girlfriends. As it turned out, three months later, police arrested a guy who was a boyfriend of one the ex girlfriends.

Not too long after the guy's body was found, police put out a call for any women who had a relationship with the guy to come forward....100's of women came forward....literally 100's.

March 21, 2012

The case initially baffled police as no murder weapon was found and they were unable to establish a motive.
However, attention soon turned to the separated father of two’s love life.

Sex addiction - another "mental illness" that didn't exist when I was a girl.

I'm really unsure as to when bad behaviour becomes "mental illness" but I think it's used as an excuse way too often.

One of my friends had slept with 500+ women before he got married, I wouldn't consider that an addiction, more like opportunity meets desire. He worked in a nightclub too, plenty of opportunity.

You're right.. I think it's just an assumption we're making because one of the reports state she called EU "when she found him". The other reports state she called '000' when she found him.
ETA Unless someone can locate an article with specific mention that she called EU before 000?

Ambiguous report:
The text is in the order of how it was printed

Police said Mr Huxley’s flat mate Jean Redmond, who discovered him semi-conscious and called Triple-0, has an alibi and is not considered a person of interest.
Her boyfriend Ertan Ucar, whom Ms Redmond called when she discovered Mr Huxley lying in a pool of blood, is not to have been involved either, police said.

One of the quotes regarding the neighbour -
A neighbour said she was home at the time Mr Huxley was attacked, and recalled unusual noises from the apartment downstairs .
"I may have heard someone moaning, I just can't be sure because there's a lot of noise around here," the woman said.

Also Police thought Jean arrived home at 2:50am -
Police have narrowed a time frame of his attack to between 1.30am when he was seen leaving The Oaks Hotel on Military Rd, and 2.50am when his flat mate arrived back at the Watson St unit.

Jean was quoted as saying she heard noises
Mr Huxley's Irish flatmate told police that a noise woke her up and she found Mr Huxley bleeding heavily from a number of wounds in his bedroom about 3am.

?

My other line of thought relates to Morgan Huxleys size and weight.

Morgan was 190cm tall and fit (no weight given) = 6 foot 2.
He's not short.
The report didn't say upper or lower back stab and slash wounds, or upper thrust or lower thrust wounds - but I am presuming that stabbing someone in the back and neck would require either one person or 2 people to have:
some height - some weight?
and/or that Morgan was lying or sitting down at the time of the attack.

Is this a new article? (Nothing new in terms of information - Same theme: 'Ladies Man' et cetera)

http://www.heraldsun.com.au/lifesty...orned-true-today/story-fni0dpm6-1226731042136

Good article .. I think that if read by the killer it may almost make them feel like they might have a sympathetic ear with the police. Perhaps trying to appeal to somebody's feelings of guilt at this stage may help, if she simply comes forward it will be better for her in a court of law.

My initial thoughts when media made it obvious it was a woman perp was that there were injuries to certain male parts that may not have been disclosed!!!!

Eek!!

Regarding Morgan not seeming to have fought back or defend himself from his killer …..

Is it possible that a pharmaceutical industry manager may have knowledge of and access to drugs that may incapacitate a person?

Drugs that may have been slipped into a pre-sex drink?

Actually MissU is right... one of the very first reports never reported the neck (or was it back) wounds, just said something along the lines of "he was stabbed a number of times in the back and another part of the body. He had no pants on..."

and now this latest article, while not containing any new news (apart from a few more pics) focuses on scorned loves and starts bringing the Bobbit case into the spotlight for us... I wonder if there is "another injury" yet to be disclosed...

I think you might well have a robust line of thought... It would almost certainly prove it was a female attacker...

Oh god ..

Here it is, from this article on 15th September, one week after the murder.

It is understood he was wounded on his back and another area of his body and was wearing no pants.

Of course, more detail about the neck and back wounds and number of stabs in each came out later... but I wonder if "this" happened also and is being withheld?

If she stabbed him in his genital area, and he bent down as it happened, she may have then stabbed his back and finally his neck as he fell to his side.
