At first it was reported Ruben was last seen in the garage playing with a small black puppy. Any news on the puppy's location? If puppy is also missing and not barking/crying, I'm afraid that a predator attack crosses my mind more specifically. A croc (or a shark, pig, dingo) will definitely take a puppy as well.
This horrifies me even as I type it. I have a 2 yearly grandson, and cannot contemplate what the family must be going through. Living in a place like that, surrounded by so much danger for a small child and animals, is not something I'd be willing to deal with. That's just me, and not meant as a judgment in any way. Certainly folks have the right to live life according to their personal desires, needs and upbringing. But dang... one would have to be on guard constantly, I'd think. At least, my paranoid self would be.
Possibly because I have been to Australia and as a tourist, and we visited many places to observe wildlife in natural environment....crocs laying around along the river banks while on a boat tour, salt water crocs (huge!) in wildlife preserves, signs that proclaim the dangers of swimming in the rivers (stories to go along with it), so I am particularly sensitive to how scary that is. And after the horrible incident in Disney World, where a toddler was grabbed by a gator from the beach of a resort, in front of his parents, these horrors are too real. JMO.
