The appeal will contest the jury's verdict and the prison sentence imposed by Justice Michael Croucher.
The defence lawyers argued the jury must have travelled down "a forbidden path" and used flawed logic to find Lynn guilty of one murder charge, but not guilty of the other.
During the trial, they also complained about prosecutors breaking rules of procedural fairness by making allegations about Lynn without giving him a chance to respond.
At the time, Lynn's lawyers did not make an application for a mistrial, although Justice Croucher did point out the prosecution errors to the jury before it retired to consider its verdicts.
