Australia Australia (SA) Trisha Graf, 41, Missing from Andamooka since 12 Dec 2025

  • #41
I am new to this case and am currently reviewing the available information. At this stage, I would like to clarify the following points:
Is there any evidence to suggest there was a struggle inside the vehicle?

Are there any photographs available of the interior of the vehicle?

Were fingerprints collected from the vehicle?
Was any DNA recovered from the vehicle?

Is there any record of the last mobile phone activity, including mobile tower data?

I sincerely hope she is safe.
This article provides more information.

Trisha Graf was last seen in the remote opal mining town of Andamooka in late December 2025. Her vehicle was discovered wrecked on a desolate outback track several kilometres from her home, with personal items scattered nearby. Most chillingly, a pair of flip-flops — believed to be hers — were found abandoned beside the car, alongside signs of a struggle and unexplained damage to the vehicle. In a somber press conference today, Detective

Superintendent Des Fielke of South Australia Police Major Crime Investigation Section confirmed the case is being treated as suspicious. “The circumstances are extremely unusual,” he said. “The vehicle damage, the abandoned footwear, and the location — it doesn’t add up to a simple accident or voluntary disappearance. We are breathless with concern for Trisha’s welfare.”

Graf, a devoted mother to two young children and partner to a local miner, was known for her routine life in the tight-knit community. Friends describe her as “reliable and family-oriented,” with no history of mental health issues or reasons to flee. Her phone, wallet, and keys were missing from the scene, but other belongings remained, deepening the mystery.

We don't call them flip flops here in Australia where this case is located.

They are thongs.

Maybe written for international publication. Of course they are thongs to us Australians

Yes it's obviously an overseas outlet.

Was her car was left in that position since the night of her disappearance?

If so what took her husband that long to find the vehicle? Why didn't he raise the alarm immediately?

I agree. Why so long to raise the alarm? This does not sound like an accident at all. For a start, no one would go into that area without footwear. If signs if a struggle, what about evidence of another vehicle? This shouldn't take long to resolve. MOO.

I suspect this article has been AI generated. The damage to Trisha's vehicle is not unexplained - her friend said they hit a kangaroo on the way back from Roxby Downs. IIRC the major crimes detective confirmed that was the case, in the recent presser.

And I suspect it says that her phone, wallet and keys are "missing" because there has been no mention of them in local news.

imo

Thanks South Aussie. It's so good to have people from varying areas of Australia to give us the local real news.

Also none of the other articles said there were signs of a struggle, or have I missed it.

No, you haven't missed it. The police haven't given out a lot of information. The reporters at the presser were trying to extract from the officer exactly why they are declaring Trisha's disappearance a major crime.

The weak reply basically was ... well, they had looked all over for her and couldn't find her so it must be a major crime.
There is probably a lot more to it than that, but the officer didn't seem highly experienced at handling a presser. It seemed that was his way to answer without answering.

The officer said that locals in Andamooka and Roxby Downs had been very helpful in providing information. There may be some backstory that is not being publicly spoken about.

imo

It was reported in that overseas AI link "insightnewshot" that there were signs of a struggle, along with all the other errors in their story.

Yes, that's why I think it is AI generated - due to its many misinterpretations.

According to this article it was midday the next day the vehicle was found, husband may have noticed she wasn't home when he woke up so went looking from then and finally came across vehicle at midday, seems pretty reasonable timing to report, especially since it doesn't say when he woke up or even when he actually noticed she was missing. But raising the alert when you find a car scene like rhat at midday doesn't seem unusual IMO

Police to intensify searches Trisha Graf one month after mysterious disappearance in South Australian outback

New search resumes on Tuesday.

Several locations identified.
Doorknocks will be carried out from Wednesday in Andamooka and and in the area where she was last seen

Detective Fielke also said police “know” people were with Trisha at Roxby Downs Hotel and saw her after she returned to Andamooka.
“We need to speak with them,” he said in a statement.

(from your link)

I wonder why the police have not been able to speak with those people in the past month.

Daily Mail

Search is renewed for missing woman who suspiciously disappeared after leaving a pub

‘We have established Trisha’s movements on the evening and morning she was last seen, but we believe there are people who may have seen her within the town who have not yet contacted police,’ Detective Superintendent Darren Fielke said.

‘We know there were people who were with Trisha at both the Roxby Downs Hotel and who saw her after she returned to Andamooka and we need to speak with them.’

The Advertiser has more details about Trisha ... (paraphrased)

Trisha and her partner Tony moved to Andamooka 8 months ago - with 2 school age children. Trisha has 6 children.

Trisha and her friend, Ms Conniff, had gone to Roxby Downs hotel that night to pick up takeaway beer for Trisha's partner.
When they got to the pub, Trisha didn't have money for the beer - so an unnamed man paid for the beer.

When Trisha left Ms Conniff's family friend's place in Andamooka at about 2am, Ms Conniff says Trisha was clear headed and had very little alcohol in her system.

Tony went to Ms Conniff's place in the morning and said to her stepfather that Trisha and Ms Conniff hadn't come back. That was when Ms Conniff learned that Trisha hadn't made it home.

Trisha's car was apparently found with the passenger seatbelt clicked in, the headlights were on, the windows were down, the car was locked, no keys.

If Trisha and friend went out to get beer for her husband, why didn't she have any money to pay for the beer? She could have forgotten her wallet, I guess.
And why didn't the husband get worried when she didn't return, if he was waiting for his beer?

Am I missing something?
