Searching mine shafts is going to be like looking for a needle in a haystack, there are so many. I’m also concerned that shafts could have collapsed/been filled in since Trish first disappeared.

On the 6 pack of beers front - what has been proven? It's been reported that she didn't have the money on the card and Tony needed to transfer it, then it was some guy bought them for her. Which one was it?

Police conclude latest search for Trisha Graf​

“Police have concluded renewed investigations at Andamooka searching for evidence in connection with the disappearance of Trisha Graf, 41.
Major Crime Investigation Branch, STAR Group, Far North and State Operations Support Branch officers and SES members have examined 315 points of interest over the past two days that included mine shafts and disused diggings.

While no evidence was recovered during the ground searches, police have not ruled out returning to the area as the investigation continues.

Police today seized one vehicle of interest in the investigation at Andamooka and this is now being forensically examined.”

Major Crime Investigation Branch, STAR Group, Far North and State Operations Support Branch officers and SES members are searching mine shafts near a residential premises and east of Andamooka for evidence.

An update on the new searches will be provided as they progress.

On 23 February 2026 police searched a septic tank at a residential address in Andamooka, but no evidence was located. Further searching at that time was abandoned because of weather conditions.

Trisha Graf was at the Roxby Downs hotel at 12.19am on Friday 12 December 2025. She left a short time later and was driving a white 2012 Ford Territory, SA registration S254BCX, accompanied by a friend.

After leaving the hotel Trisha travelled from Roxby Downs towards Andamooka before colliding with a kangaroo a short distance from the Andamooka Township.

After striking the kangaroo Trisha and her friend continued onto Andamooka where they visited a home in the north-western area of the town. Trisha left just before 2am to travel the short distance home. Trisha was last seen driving along Dunstan Drive, Andamooka.

Just after midday on Friday 12 December 2025, Trisha’s partner and a friend were searching for her when they located Trisha’s Ford Territory, which was perched on a dirt mound near the Blue Dam east of Andamooka. The vehicle was unable to be driven because of its location on the dirt mound.

I’m late to this one and apologize if I’ve missed it, but have police said what evidence makes them believe a crime has been committed as opposed to Trisha getting bogged, trying to walk for help, and falling down a mine shaft or getting lost and succumbing to the elements?

That I recall police have not said specifically what makes them suspicious. I'd guess they have info/evidence that they don't want to disclose yet.

IMO there are a few things that make it suspicious (but there are also counterarguments):

- where her car was found: out of town, in the opposite direction of where she would go to go home, in a place she didn't even know about -> if she was very drunk (as it was alleged) and disoriented she may have simply driven in the wrong direction or the car was simply dumped there to make it look like she did.

- A few things in the car did not make sense (maybe missing beer cans, her card missing, maybe some unexplained damage in the front, etc) -> again, if she was driving under the influence of alcohol she may have further damaged the car driving between Smurf's house and blue dam. And she may have had the bank card in her pocket and walked away from thew car taking if with her.

- the last people to see her (allegedly) are two "acquaintances", one of which she had known only for a short period of time and the other she had just met that night through the first person IIRC (I wonder if there is any history about those two...I have a bad feeling about them)

- Tony and his friend went to look for her at blue dam the day after, even though she had never been there before. why? did they just go as part of searching various locations nearby or did they go directly there?

- even if we consider that she may have gotten bogged at blue dam and walked away, I recall seeing somewhere that the closest mineshaft is ~1.5km from where the car was found. I think there would be obvious traces/tracks/footprints of her walking that distance. Equally if someone else dropped the car off there and drove off with another vehicle, there should be signs of it (tyre tracks). Of note, because Tony and his friend had already been there before police, tracks or prints may have been contaminated/erased.

I doubt she would have made it too far from her vehicle in the dark, especially if she didn’t have another pair of shoes to wear aside from the broken thongs. (But who knows? Maybe she did have another pair of shoes and a torch…)

But maybe her case will turn out to be like Carolina Wilga’s. (Last year, a backpacker’s van was discovered bogged in a remote spot in Western Australia, but she was found alive 12 days later having walked to find help.)

Oh yes, I remember her!
I could not believe she was found ok(ish).
I really wish this happened with Trisha, but her disappearance seems far too long now to have a good outcome.

And I have to admit, I'm still on the fence about what could have possibly happened here. I don't think she disappeared voluntarily, so whatever happened was either a tragic accident with a weird set of circumstances or someone did something to her.

I'm hoping we will hear something soon.
