Samah Baker was last seen when a friend dropped her off at her home on Early Street in Parramatta in the early hours of January 4.

Police are treating Ms Baker’s disappearance as suspicious and have established Strike Force Boutcher with assistance from detectives of the state’s Homicide Squad.

Fresh CCTV has also been released, which shows Ms Baker entering a lift inside a North Sydney hotel two days before she disappeared.

In the footage, Ms Baker is seen wearing both a peach-orange coloured dress and a black and white spotted shirt and denim shorts.

These items of clothing have not been located during police searches.

Ms Baker is described as being of Mediterranean or Middle Eastern appearance, approximately 160 centimetres tall, medium build and long dark hair.

Detectives are particularly interested in anybody who may have driven down Early street on January 4 between 1am and 7am, and if they possess dash-cam footage.

Weird activity on missing woman’s Facebook account

Parramatta Police Superintendent Julie Boon this morning revealed Ms Baker’s social media account was mysteriously updated after she vanished.

Despite that, investigators believed there was a chance “she may have met with foul play”, she said.

Supt Boon’s comments raise the possibility somebody other than Ms Baker had access to her Facebook account.

I heard on the radio her FB has been updated.
It’s not the first time someone else updates FB to lessen the urgency of the cops. The cops aren’t stupid.
If someone is accessing it via her phone then surely that phone can be tracked.

‘Samah Baker, 30, was last seen by a male friend who dropped her at home at Paramatta, western Sydney in the early hours of Friday January 4.’

How many times have we heard that before sadly

Did anybody here find her SM account that was updated since her disappearance?

No but I did find another Baker under the NSW police FB post from today. Not much there though.

Unless that person is close enough to know her log in details.
Many people don’t log off always and if someone has her device then bingo straight in but then that’s a traceable location.

I watched the video clips of her in the lift and couldn’t work out if it was the same guy in all of them (looked like it to me) but if so they seemed not to know each other in one clip (he’s wearing a backpack) but to interact somewhat in the other (no backpack).

As per one of the links, her fb has been shut down.

Doesn't seem like police knows that location, so there are other possibilities, such as, her phone sim card was removed, and the phone went online with wifi when updating Facebook.

The Seven news clip said she checked in hotel with a friend, so I have to assume she went in and out with the same guy. Otherwise I can't be sure from looking at it.

I remember hearing in one of the news clips that Samah’s phone was turned off.

Yes.. Since the phone is not found, the only thing they can know is the sim not pinging anywhere.

The other weird thing is her clothes from the hotel trip have disappeared too. Since she couldn't be wearing both outfits when she disappeared, had the suitcase been taken too?

Detectives have conducted a forensic search in bushland about 16km south-west of Goulburn as part of the investigation into the suspicious disappearance of a Western Sydney woman.

Samah Baker, aged 30, was last seen after she was dropped off at her Early Street, Parramatta, home by a friend in the early hours of Friday 4 January 2019.
