Karinna I wasn't judging. It was MOO from watching a MSM video.
I was very compassionate in my comments.
I was noting behaviour that I found to be out of context and odd.
We all have opinions - it's what we are here for!
Just because we have an opinion we are not victim bashing and I certainly didn't do that.
Please take the comments in the context they are written [emoji4]
I have respected all of your opinions even though I think some of them are harsh.
For example - "and if someone is criminally insane they need to be locked up away from the rest of society"......... that's not really compassionate either. Criminally insane where proven are victims too.

I didn't get the impression they were holding anything back either but I do think they knew at that time that Sam was already dead, I know there was a mix of tenses but his Dad spoke of him mostly in the past

And as for Sam's family, I just cannot imagine needing to front the media in a desperate attempt to hope against hope and try to find your son quickly .... alive.

No matter all of the rumours and things that may now be publicly revealed - the skeletons in the closet and all - they had the bravery and greatest urge to do anything and everything they could to locate their boy.

I think it was a 3 match ban, slinky. IIRC. So whatever it was, was pretty bad. As Sam was said to be a lover not a fighter - not just by his dad, but on FB by a girlfriend, too - I wonder if a strong defence of himself was a big surprise to Boscano and Dyball, and led to a more severe outcome.


A player who receives a match penalty is ejected. A match penalty is imposed for deliberately injuring another player as well as attempting to injure another player. I am wondering why Sam's Mum kept nudging her husband and whispering things to him throughout the whole presser...

What I found really odd... when Dad needed to answer the relevant "important" questions, Mum appeared to feel the need for mentioning the "little" things of no importance, as in "dropping washing off and telling his Mum how she has lost weight"...

It was as though she didn't want the more important questions answered...that is what I found really odd..:thinking:

Dad does work for mum, according to his FB.
So maybe she gives him lots of direction, often, including during the presser? And it was important to her to mention how close and loving Sam was with his family. Appeal to people's emotions, so they'd help find this son who loved his mother very much.

I think they did everything they could to get the public 'on their side' and find their boy quickly. I think they greatly feared what may have happened (and, ultimately, had happened) to Sam. As the police seemed to fear it right away, also. Making great haste to try to find Sam in their efforts, too.

Ok so I just watched the interview with his parents and have some questions.......

1. His father becomes agitated and stutters when he is asked about how Sam afforded the car. When the line of questioning stops he stops stuttering.

2. When asked if he knew any of SAMs friends he says no - not by name. But in a later comment says they are recieving a lot of support from sams close friends? And the stuttering returns.

3. When questioned about sams lifestyle his father starts to stutter again saying there is no way they suspect anything bad that they know of. He wouldn't leave his dog for more than 1 or 2 hours alone. (So one theory is that Sam thought he would be home soon?)

It's inconceivable the amount of fear and dread Sam's parents were experiencing while fronting the media knowing in all probability he was dead. I can't for the life of me see the purpose in analyzing their words and actions, they are not responsible for the actions of their son or for those that took his life.
Sam was murdered and for what? The blanks will be filled in soon enough. The surprise may be he was killed for the most pathetic reasons that even RB and AD's supporters can't fathom or explain away. This has been my observation with every trial I've followed on these forums.

Any parent would have done the same for their kids. Bring them home one way or another to put their minds at ease so to speak.
I had this discussion with another friend of my eldest son and he had alot to say. Roberto came from a strong italian background, carrying on the male family strength which is a huge burden at times. I used to work for Italians in Sydney and the younger generation always seemed weighed down by the older generation. I think from memory Roberto was the only male grandson mentioned in his grandfathers funeral notice.
As for Ashley, he was always a lovely guy, but to be medically discharged before the end of basic training for something that happened during basic training would have been hard to deal with, imo. Sam was apparently "no childcare worker" to quote. (Not my opinion and still no excuse for this).

29/8/2011...He started work at an ABC Childcare Centre and was sick on the first day.

People are qualified in alot of things. I have a background in working with cars one way or another but ended up being a myotherapist. Just because you are qualified doesn't mean you have to stay in that chosen field.

Those making the press releases when Sam went missing chose to describe him as a Childcare Worker. That is why it is being discussed. (And because someone who was acquainted with him offhandedly said he was 'no childcare worker.)

Yep so I considered that the conference may have been staged for them or there may have been context to the oddness so I asked if anyone else saw it which they did.
I found IMO that it was odd.
I never said they were responsible for his actions or those who have alledgedly committed the crime. That's not correct.

How is it relevant to the murder of Sam? Sam's parents aren't criminals no matter how odd anyone perceives their behaviour because the situation wasn't normal. The police feared Sam was murdered and they were correct. Sam's parents were visibly shaken by the horror that their beloved son was dead and maybe, there was a glimmer of hope that he survived something awful that could account for what the police had already uncovered. That's all we need to know, imo.
