The yellow car was abandoned on the western highway just before the first Melton exit (Ferris rd). I had noticed it there for almost a week maybe.. I remember no number plate at first, no tyres at the end when I had seen police there.

The streets of Bacchus Marsh are filled with Pink Balloons today as it says goodbye to Sarah ❤

Love the pink theme, helps make it a celebration of Sarah's short life. Thank you for posting the news link too Poss :-)
Beautiful, dignified parents and family. Bless them.
Poor little Sprocket. :tears:

I can't help but think back to Jill's Meagher's murder and the huge amount of press that it received, not only in Victoria but nationally. One thought that consistently haunts me is that Sarah and her mother would most certainly have heard about Jill through MSM. I wonder what went through Noelle's mind. Did she think like the rest of us, "Please God, never let something like this happen to my daughter."? IMO Sarah's mother would have been as horrified as the rest of Australia at the senseless murder of Jill Meagher, little knowing that in less than two months it would be her Sarah who's life would be cut short by another monster living among us.

Sarah apparently used to work part-time in a bridal boutique and later worked in a bar. Jill went from a bar and was last seen in front of a bridal boutique.

Sarah and her mother would most certainly have heard about Daniel Morcombe, never realising that the same day his alleged murderer finally faced court, that Sarah would be laid to rest.

I worry constantly about my girls. My daughter is a nurse, which involves shift work. The security guard where she works walks her to her car when she finishes a late shift. But who is the security guard? What do we know about him? My granddaughter's are both teenagers and that in itself is a worry these days even though they are good girls. That doesn't stop the evil amongst us from hurting them if they want to. My grandson is still in primary school and not quite as old as Daniel Morcombe when he disappeared. It sickens me to the core to think that males can do such horrific things to little boys.

I suppose I'm feeling very emotional today. I've shed tears of sadness for these beautiful people who have lost their lives to senseless violence and murder. But underneath this sadness is a simmering rage that any of this was ever allowed to happen and in all probability will happen again.

Please God, never let something like this ever happen to anyone again.

MOO.

Makara, I think your words touch a chord in all of us.

.... and about that underlying simmering rage, I was looking at statistics of repeat offenders on the ABS. Seems that about 26% of offenders go on to re-offend. Wonder if that holds true for sexual predators and murderers too? Those parole boards really have to develop better ways to identify those serious offenders who will potentially re-offend ... or our laws need to firmly say if you do it once, you're locked up forever.

http://www.abs.gov.au/ausstats/[email protected]/Products/B0225632DC78518CCA2576E9001BB4C2

And as for the early release for good behaviour crapola .... of course serious offenders like SH (and AB) can't steal a car, king hit a pub patron, stalk little children, abduct and murder a young girl or boy, when they are in jail. Of course most of them are going to be good in jail! They are good out of jail too .... until that complete disregard for human life takes over again. How bad does a crime have to be before a serious offender is locked away forever? Or maybe no crime is bad enough under our laws to lock a serious offender away forever ... ?

MOO :banghead:[/QUOTE]

Was thinking the car across nature strip at PC house was his (SH) - because the neighbour interviewed had said (paraphrasing) 'man with little dog used to drive his car straight across the nature strip and leave it there...'
Can't imagine a heap of s...t like that would belong to AW. IMO not possible.

Agree, would be handy if someone from vic roads could confirm?:twocents:

POLICE are conducting investigations into a suspicious death after a body was found in a bag on the bank of the Tweed River near Tumbulgum in the Tweed Valley.

A police spokesman said the body was found around 7pm (AEDT) on Saturday after a member of the public located a bag on the bank of the Tweed River near Dulguigan Road.

Detective acting Inspector Saul Wiseman says police are yet to identify the remains or determine a cause of death.

He says the discovery was made in a remote area, and it's not known how long the bag may have been there.

I love that her funeral was celebrated with pink, even though it's a dreadful occasion, it's best do something like that to comemorate some ones life.

poor Sarah may you rest in peace.

having just moved to Melbourne three weeks ago, these creeps have takin the fun and enjoyment out of a new city for me. I know there are bad people everywhere and I am always on the safe side, but I just feel like I'm not safe here. it's a beautiful city, but these horrible people SH & AB have given it an air of menace after dark.

hopefully people like his are kept where there cannot cause any harm in the future. I do not think prison will cure these people, but perhaps make the thirst worse. obviously they are not afraid to return to prison. it's time to change it from a holiday camp and turn it into the punishment it is supposed to be.

Are you connected to late night precincts through work, play or research? If so, we want to hear from you! NightIdeas is a new blog designed to inform, inspire and link people with original ideas that promote vibrant, inclusive and safe night time entertainment precincts. The NightIdeas Blog seeks to draw on the collective knowledge of the community to build a playful but relevant resource that consolidates a range of innovative project ideas and experiences about the invigoration of late night precincts.

So, send us your descriptions of unique/logical/harebrained/clever/hilarious/effective ideas to create more exciting and safe night-time entertainment precincts. They might be projects that you’ve personally designed, been involved with – or ideas that you’ve simply heard about through your networks, nights out or research.

What sort if information do we need? NightIdeas is interested in “the idea” as much as the innovative strategy that has been the focus of numerous academic publications, so it could be as little as a sentence or two describing the idea or as much as a detailed project description. If you visit http://nightideas.tumblr.com/, you’ll get the flavour of what we need.

I call for do not release. if a person intentionally harms another person in any way shape or form, they DO NOT deserve to ever enjoy life again.

Just sadness everywhere.
Fantastic post Makara.

I've cried a few times today with all that is going on in our world.
I can't understand how these creeps think or manage to be able to do such horrid things to others.
If nothing else we are all aware of what is out there lurking in the shadows.

RIP Daniel,Allison,Jill,Sarah and other victims of crime who don't recieve the publicity.

Oops ... post was removed. Sorry Marly, think I must have temporarily forgotten the strict rules of subjudice in my frustration. Thanks for watching out for us .... wouldn't want any words said on here to jeopardise the right outcome to this or any case. Your work on this site is invaluable!
Thanks again for the reminder :)

All seems to have gone very quiet both on here and in MSM. Nothing appears to have come from the arrest of the other two people
