Feralflower, are you referring to Theo's clothes? All of "his clothes" = Theo's clothes are accounted for?
(I haven't had time to listen to pod5 yet)
Yes the police officer apparently seemed to tell this lady that the family have all of Theo's clothes and I also understood from what she said that it meant including the clothes he had on. It was a rather confusing part of the podcast so not sure.

Remember you only have George's side of the story. What he told you may not be accurate. I'm interested to know George's experience with missing persons cases, given that he says in the podcast he has knowledge and experience.
We were talking daily from the time he arrived at Byron. He gave me daily updates of what was going on, sometimes while out on a search, so I don't think inaccurate. You can contact him directly to discuss his experience. His phone number is on the Internet.

No.

The analogy that the moderators have given us is 'how would you like it if your - or a family member's - social media post, pic or name was posted on an international public forum?'

It is against the rules. Hopefully everyone here has read them.
OK, thanks for the info

8:50 mark on Pod 5 says 20 volunteers did a sweep from the dunes to CC. Unsure if that’s along the sand or through the bush. If sand, could’ve washed up.
They said they found the "wallet" in leaf litter. They were doing a sweep through the scrub and grass in the dunes above the beach. They actually said they were doing a sweep through the dunes.

On top of leaf litter.

"But they were on top of the leaf litter so we don’t know how long they’d been there."

That indicates, to me, that it had not buried itself in the leaf litter yet.

@certus1 one thing I would love to know is how GM came up early with the theory of Theo being gay? Surely there has to be a reason, a solid reason behind coming up with that?

It stated now on the podcast GM doesn’t think Theo was gay now but did early on. I say this with all due respect but it’s a bit of a leap to not only think he was gay, but to set up a Grindr account to help look for him.

Can you ask George what was the motivation behind his ‘long shot’ was, did he have any evidence? Was it cos Theo didn’t go for the attention a girl was trying on him in the bar? Cos I’ve been in plenty of bars in my younger days where I didn’t take up the signals some ladies where throwing my way, does that make me gay? What about the amount of times my attempts in the art of seduction in a bar have falling incredibly flat, the ladies that didn’t show me anything in return are gay too?

Again I say with all due respect but Surely you would need more evidence than ones ‘gaydar’ to go to such an extreme length for a long shot? He seems pretty sure the searchers didn’t do the best job and should have left it to people who know what to do like him.....honestly though, the setting up a grindr account as a ‘long shot’ seems so far from a professional move it seems comical..

My comment is related as a general rule.

IMO, the only people who would have accurate and 100% confirmation to background information and updates on Theo would be LE, the PI (Ken Gamble), David Murray, the family and select few who are trusted volunteers working very closely with Theos family and the above.

Whilst I do not doubt that those on recent and previous search parties for Theo know some information, my guess is that they would not know everything and when information gets passed from person to person it might also get muddled up and be incorrect.

Just like when MSM sometimes gets things wrong too as they speak to the wrong people and report incorrectly.

That is my two cents worth anyhow :)

@certus1 So go back to that LFTH FB page and comment there about what you read re that slip of paper Théo was supposed to have in his hand. The matter will come up and we'll find out on the FB pages. Thanks very much

You're right, on top of the leaf litter

If Theo fell from the cliff and into the ocean, how does his phone ping in the cape Byron vicinity at 1:42pm June the 1st. Almost 12 hours after his last known activity on his phone.
From what I understand his phone wasn’t water proof?

I tried to PM the guy who posted about the note in Theo's hand outside CM after he was escorted out, but it will not let me post. I hit the Enter key and it won't post the message. Is there a function on FB that prevents anyone from private messaging you unless you are a confirmed friend? Was trying to ask him about the note as it has never been mentioned anywhere else and no one commented about him saying that on the LFTH page.

Fell into a crevice, pinged before cutting out altogether due to battery being flat? Fell onto rocks and was eventually swept into the sea? Either way I’d say it’s a difficult item to see being small and flat, and could be camouflaged well on the cliffs if still there.

My, likely rhetorical, question concerns the likelihood of something floating back to the beach if someone drowns and is taken out to sea? Would items of clothing detach and automatically sink? Is there an expected time frame for things to wash up or is it random?
Also, just say Theo was washed out to sea. What would it take to reach this as a strong resolution? A witness, or piece of clothing coming ashore?

That’s interesting. By suggesting it was a leap to wonder if Theo was gay...

...assumes that ‘non gay’ is the default position of people, until proven otherwise.

I’m trying to be as frank but polite as possible and aiming for perceptive and understanding.

Straight people see the world through their own lens which is an accumulation of their own life experiences. Because of this, they tend to assume everyone is like them... straight until proven otherwise.

The same can be said of gay people. They see the world through their own lens where straight is not the default position.

So no, it wasn’t a stretch that GM thought Theo could be gay.

His assumptions were no more incorrect than everyone else who assumed Theo was straight.

Because we don’t know. Yes. He had a girlfriend. Because in the history of the world, a man with a girlfriend has never been gay or fluid or figuring it out or whatever? Lol ;P

This isn’t a comment though, on whether putting it on Grindr was appropriate. Just that considering Theo’s sexuality isn’t cause for suspicion, and that we all tend to see and interact with the world according to our lens of life experiences.

Could you climb the cliffs with a phone in your hand? If so, maybe the phone could still be on the cliffs. But if it was in his pocket of his jeans, I find it unlikely it would of fallen out while he was falling.

Even the wide, loose opening of a hoodie pocket?

I think a phone could easily fall from a jeans or hoodie pocket while climbing and stretching, while bending legs and derriere many times in many directions.

Theo's beige pants do not appear to be the cargo kind which have multiple secure leg pockets.

Seems to me - after listening to the last podcast - that Theo's phone could now be wedged deep in the rocks somewhere on those cliffs, or may now be washed out to sea.

Just want to put it out there that 10 years ago another backpacker went missing from the lighthouse area. It was around June as well. His body surfaced at the mouth of the Brunswick River. Would assume the currents would be similar so if Theo ended up in the water possibly could have gone this way too though the current need lighthouse seems to go out to sea the other way I think the ocean can have a mind of it's own. https://www.dailytelegraph.com.au/b...edc6e98d7?sv=5ded95431a7fdb3eb0ef59f7d546d180

Meant to say "the current NEAR lighthouse".
