Podcast 3 is a no show. Some more facts. I emailed the producer with a link to local gang culture and comments from their parents and get a reply saying that’s timely and is going to be in Podcast 3. I emailed another two times about a ‘Missing person’ possibly related to TH and get no response. The silence is deafening

Do you mean Podcast 4?

“He stopped amid a tangle of vines, in a completely private area above the beach, for 5½ minutes.”

How do they know where he stopped so precisely?

Although Lantana is not classed as a vine, looks like Lantana to me and IMO
No idea whether that's Lantana. I was thinking of brambles. When 'prickly and entangled vines' are mentioned, I think of impenetrable brambles:

Media have shown kind of curved trees surrounded by clearing.

Perhaps drugged asked fro instructions was becoming more and more disoriented. Trusted someone to aid him to get back . As he was unable to focus on map. Became more and more disoriented. Perhaps went to bathroom in bush for the 51\2 min.
Then met with foul play after sending messages etc . And deteriorated further. It could have even been in a water he was offered by someone after walking etc

I definitely think he was with someone. But trusted they would show him the way back as he was unable make sense of maps etc

I have listened to many crime podcasts, David Murray is by far my favorite narrator to listen to.

Everyone has done a fantastic job putting together the podcast.

They are saying he diverted off Milne Track up a sandy path that comes close to Tallow Beach Road and then goes into the bush. I think this is it. It looks like the obvious way to start to go if you are heading to CC.

I think they are doing fabulous work, but I am not sure how they can be so precise about where Theo went.
Is it due to GPS coordinates that were sent every 15 or so secs? Or are they making the best estimates they can?
What kind of deviation is in usual GPS coordinates?

It can't be from Google Maps if a google vehicle has never mapped these paths and tracks.

Raw data from Google plotted on Google Maps I think. Satellite images would help. I think it's claimed at +/- 3m.
The vehicles might help identifying roads but are also used for Street View.

Was just looking at the original map that was released in The Australian (July 20 I screenshot it).

What’s very interesting now is the if you follow the gps track when Theo goes right at the T junction in Arakwal National Park (on the fire trail) the path actually deviates, I wonder if this is when homeless man Tommy’s camp was avoided?

Also it shows the gps in CC going into the scrub like it’s been said his phone did!

If that’s the case then the validity of this map seems legit? If that’s the case then what about the triangle move he does around the red fields?

If he did a full triangle move like that then surely the podcast would have mentioned it? Cos at the moment it seems according to the podcast that he just went straight across the sporting fields.

Anyway not sure if it means anything but when I saw the deviation in the path it just made me think of what David Murray said about Theo deviating around Tommy’s camp.

Just going with that map the Australian posted.

It almost matches up with my gps tracking when I tried to get to the tallow ridge track!
