Hi all. Long time reader but first time poster. I have followed Toyahs' case from day 1 and find you guys amazing, trying to uncover the truth about this despicable crime. While watching my favourite CI show the other night on fox, the detective who has solved more than 400 homicides, stated that.
He "could not remember a single homicide case where the perp has not told at least someone what they have done". Which reminded me of a post on the 1st thread where someone stated that a "bad egg" had told people they killed Toyah. and then fled town. just moo. Maybe chinese whispers, but who really knows. Anyway my thoughts only. hope i have not upset anyone.

Welcome fawlty towers.:):):)
I have been lurking here, trying to keep up, with the different routes, cars etc and am lost.
I think it is surprising to hear, criminals do tell what they have done, if this is correct.o_Oo_O
If this is the case here, hope with these ?? rumors someone comes forward.

Murderers can and do talk, not all but still a sizeable number. It's that human trait of having to tell someone. As a rule we are not very good at keeping secrets.

Well, we are getting close to half way through the day and no arrest. My prediction of a Friday arrest is starting to get the wobbles. Surely the investigators are getting closer to this heinous monster. A line was crossed and the second murder is easier.
This killer needs to be off the streets (and beaches).

I believe they will make an announcement soon, I think they have someone and perhaps someone who knows about it in their sights.

Hi all, I'm new and this is my first post. I have been following this tragic case and, I'm sure like many others, am eagerly awaiting any police updates. I wanted to find a group where I can discuss the case, so here I am.

There is something I haven't noticed anyone bring up. Let me preface by saying I'm sure that Marco is innocent and is in deep pain along with the rest of Toyah's family, so I mean no disrespect, it's just that something is a bit confusing, and that is Marco's post about the missing dog (Jersey) on a local Port Douglas area Buy/Swap/Sell Facebook page, and the subsequent comments under that post. He posted the missing dog alert at 10.55pm October 21st, and Toyah was reported missing to police 5 minutes later at around 11pm (I'm guessing by him because they lived together). What he says about the dog, and the subsequent comments, don't mesh up with the information the police gave out to the public.

In Marco's post he said the dog was last seen around 6pm on 21 October 2018 on a walking track near Spring Creek Falls. His friends went out looking and talk in the thread about leaving food out, and finding it a few days later running around near where they left the bowl. And there is a happy post that includes a picture of him carrying the dog along what looks like a creek bed. No mention of missing Toyah who was last seen with the same dog at around 2.30pm at Wangetti beach. I know it's the same dog because the media reports say the dog is named Jersey, but media reports say she was found at 7.45am 22 October tied up by Toyah's body. So something is a bit off there IMO. I've attached screenshots of the page. Does anyone have any thoughts? If she was missing since 2pm-ish, how can he know Jersey was last seen near Spring Creek Falls, which seems to be a fair distance away, at 6pm? Did the police really find Jersey tied up next to Toyah or did Marco and his friends find Jersey at a different location?

Hi BelaMcK, great post and welcome to Websleuths.

The recent interview with Toyah's Mum, quoted her as saying they found the dog "Indie" tied up, so I think the earlier media reports had the wrong dogs name.

Two different dogs but it is really strange that a woman with a dog is murdered and a dog closely connected goes missing in the same time frame. I am not sure that coincidences like that really happen.
Is it likely that she had the two dogs with her?

It's interesting that Spring Creek Falls is not that far away from Wangetti Beach. So if Marco was at Spring Creek Falls in the late afternoon with his dog, his must of driven past the beach where Toyah was? Or maybe I have the wrong spring creek falls.

I have to agree it is strange however I use to travel that stretch of road regularly and cant imagine a dog making it that distance. The highway is winding with cliffs on both sides of the road at times, lots of thick bush as well. It's a pretty unforgiving area.

The dog/s situation is befuddling for sure...but I can’t help but think if they suspected the boyf, that an arrest would have already been made...

Whatever the case I hope Toyah’s killer is found soon...

Ok that would make more sense!

Oh yes I was trying to be polite and not make it seem like I suspected him. I really don't. If it were, the police would know I'm sure. It might be dumb but I do card reading for fun and asked if it was him and the reading showed me that it wasn't and that he really loved her. I just thought it was so odd, but it being 2 different dogs makes more sense. He must have been out with his dog up in the Falls area I guess.

Hi BelaMck, this is my 2nd post i think since 2012. Welcome too you. Its pretty daunting finally posting. I did about 22234565432 reviews of my post before finally submitting it, hoping everything was fine. HEY we have done it know, ice is broken, yeehaagrandma.
Re your post. From what I have gleamed over time from both threads is this. The dog Toyah was was walking is Indi. The dog in your pictures does not look like the one photos of Toyah show walking, or either the one her BF had on a lead at her funeral. I like you are confused about who was with who. However, I have a question too every Websleuther watching this case, especially people residing within the Cairns district. I would like to know where and when Toyah worked. Also what were her days and hours. Were they regular like weekly or a rotating roster. And was it part of her employment to work at the markets every so often. Last query. Can anybody verify her BF was or wasn't employed. If so, where did he work, what as, (chef has been mentioned) and also work days and hours. Chefs often do split shifts.

Time stamped alibi.

Well, another possibility in my train of thought is that it could be someone who had a grudge against him/them? Let loose one dog (at whatever time) and ofc what happened to Toyah. It doesn’t say who saw the dog, just ‘last seen’. Did they live with anyone else? And no mention that he was also looking for that dog, just that friends were. It’s very odd the beach dog being tied up, but I still wonder if someone else entirely tied up the big dog. It is a little off that the poster has said the dog was found with a ‘smiley face’ but that is in light of what we all know now. Maybe she didn’t know that information at that time.

It’s looks like the same intersection to me, just another camera facing another direction. It is still following the same little red car (#56). A’s far as I can tell - moo

Not that it matters, but in the footage #57 DIDN'T go through the intersection between red car & #58. Please see photo. Thanks. Cheers. Peace.

My initial thought was her workplace somehow, not staff but customers. I think it is obvious that she was remarkably beautiful, and also seemed very sweet and friendly. It would have been very easy for her to attract attention, through absolutely no fault of her own! I'd be checking out any cctv for someone who frequented more than usual, perhaps.

Hi Bella and Welcome.

Just to add to others responses. The 10:55pm timestamp is NSW time (that's what I see on my timeline) - in Qld it would be 9:55pm. Something I tend to forget that Qld doesn't have DLS.
