It always astonishes me how many substantial rewards go unclaimed in gang territories here in the US. If similar "no snitching" cultures exist in nations violent offenders notoriously flee to, that's adding insult to injury. Is it something about castes?

CCTV of Singh fleeing the country.

Looks like they have him on CCTV in an airport in shorts.
Then in an airport in long pants and a long sleeved shirt.
Maybe, a flight from Cairns to Brissy or Sydney, then a flight leaving the country. With him changing clothes in between.

Yes and do you see in the part where he is wearing shorts, he puts his hand up to his face around the 22 second mark.
I wonder what he was feeling. Maybe he felt like he was the victim.

From memory, the police got the cctv footage from the petrol station near the beach and appealed to the public to identify their cars. Then certain cars were targeted for the public to ID. Then the trail went from the beach to Lake Placid (via more cctv) and then to Innisfail.
There was something about clothing dumped at Lake Placed (?) and something about him being seen with scratches on his face. Again from memory, the alleged perp lived with his wife and young kids. His father may have been staying with him or nearby. A brother also lived nearby. He went out with his Dad then came home, packed his bags and flew to stay overnight with his sister in Sydney and then flew to his home town on the western border of India. There was mention of him being supported by his mosque and disappearing down rabbit holes. His father soon followed him back to India from memory, and the brother said their Dad went to find him but I’ve never heard of him returning. The brother was stunned and like the neighbours, swore he was too timid to commit such an act. He was a nurse at Innisfail hospital working with the elderly I think. His wife apparently had no clue that he’d taken off to India and she was left with the kids, and one was an infant. Their home went up for sale and nothing much more was reported. The dog was said to have been tied up to the tree so tight that it couldn’t sit down all night.

Just now 7news featured an interview with Aust police in India saying singh is living in the north of India with family.

Imo the family who is hiding him should be held accountable.

Detective Inspector Kevin Goan from Cairns recently returned to Australia from New Dehli, after working with Indian officials, including the Ministry for External Affairs, Home Affairs and the head of the Central Bureau of Investigations.

In an exclusive interview with the ABC, he said Indian officials had agreed to allow Australian authorities to have direct contact with sections of the Indian police force, comprised of 3.5 million officers .......

....... "The translation of $1 million and what that would do for a family is unique," Inspector Goan said. "It would be a comparable wealth of about $25 million in India and when you look at that value, it's life-changing.

Inspector Goan said the group had received "credible information" since the $1 million reward was posted last week.
