You can just see the roof in the original Real Estate photo. The telling feature I think is the side rails plus the colour. If you look at the 68 cars on the CCTV, there are no others with a side rail, same mags, in that colour except 19. But this vehicle could of course, be the real estate agent's car. Unlikely though.
Yes the rider/side rail & mags stand out. I can see the car roof now you’ve pointed it out.

The drive from Innisfail to Wangetti, is a drive north of approx 1 hour 45 mins and is 128 klms. During that drive, you have to go past Cairns city and Cairns airport, and there are multiple beaches before you get to Wangetti.

Etty Bay (which is a super small and beautiful beach just to the South of Innisfail), and Bramston Beach are much closer to Innisfail and nicer, than Wangetti.

Whilst the family says he 'used to go to the beach to wind down', did he go to just any beach nearby, or did he do the 1 hour 45 minute drive from Innisfail, all the way to the Northern Beaches (Wangetti) of Cairns?? Was he occasionally working relief hospital shifts in or closer to Cairns also, because that would make it easier to visit Wangetti.

I'm speculating when I suggest he did not go to local Innisfail beaches. Local people in Innisfail just wouldn't do the drive from Innisfail all the way to Wangetti, through the Cairns traffic, just to go to a very northern Cairns beach, when Innisfail have their own beaches, much closer and nicer than Wangetti. As he lived in Innisfail (10k population where everyone knows everyone), he might look suspicious at a local beach by himself, and is more likely to be identified. But if he drove to a beach 128 klms away, not so likely.

I think he was at Wangetti for very specific reasons. He had likely been to that location (or nearby it), previously, and on several other occasions. There might be fuel purchases nearby to validate that.

If he did drive to Wangetti Beach - Buchan's Point is on the way and very close (walking distance), which is the second next beach alongside to Wangetti (after Ellis Beach). Buchan's Point is a known Nudist / Gay Beat / Swingers / Cruise beach and has been since the 1970's. Was he hanging out around this area because of it's known history? (locals know this). Online sex forums regularly mention this location for hook-ups and group sex (I Googled it ...).

My daughter lives for her dog and she said if she was in that situation then she would be most vulnerable because of her dog and she would do anything not to have her dog hurt as any ‘mother’ would.

Her thoughts were interesting as she considers her dog her baby and yes, that’s what mums do.
totally agree! ❤

I've done a massively long post with lots of locational content comment, but it's awaiting moderator approval (not sure why, is it the size of it?) In the meantime, I found something in one of the real estate adverts about the car. One of the photos in the real estate adverts (looking along the verandah pic) shows a navy blue looks like a 4wd vehicle with side running boards, parked out the front. Almost the same as car #19 in the Police's 68 vehicle video. I know people talked about a white ute. Could this just be coincidence?
There’s a dark 4WD just up the road a bit in this shot.

I read somewhere that the brother Harpreet said RS went to “beaches north of Cairns” to wind down. Think he said “secluded” or “private” beaches too. No other beaches have been mentioned in the reports to date that I’ve seen. When asking for witnesses of weird beach behaviour to come forward, the police area of interest extended down to Cardwell. Maybe they were just casting a broad net, or maybe they had a specific reason. Wangetti has a reputation (maybe dated) for nudity too doesn’t it? I think you’re onto something here, with regards to the beach/es chosen. Was the lure the solitude and the possible thrill?

So true. She would’ve been trying to protect her dog the whole time and the dog probably wouldn’t leave her side. I think someone said the dog wasn’t aggressive, and was found uninjured. Maybe he was also easy to approach and tie up. Why so tight though?

A thought I had was he might have been angry or depressed at work or home and went to the beach to suicide, saw Toyah and released his anger on her.
Being a nurse he may have used a scalpel.
Interesting thought. The brother said RS was a fearful person (or the like). I perceive RS to be a massive passive-aggressive coward who avoids and runs when things get challenging. Personally, I doubt very much that he’d have the courage to suicide. He sounds like he’s all about self-interest & preservation. Just my two cents worth! :)

I feel like most Real Estate agents wouldn't park in the driveway - particularly if they've visited to take photos to sell it. I reckon it's not the agent's car, but they've started to photos and then had to move it. Seems there are two iterations of Real Estate pics then, because the sites I've looked at have hardley any furniture.

I didn't notice car 47, but it appears to have side rails and silver mags. The one at the hospital looks grey and different mags, but the quality of the police vid is not so great.

Definately re the gap in traffic and pulling out without being noticed....
Just noting, in many of the real estate shots for the houses in that street, there’s the same white station wagon out the front of the house which I’m thinking is the real estate company car.

Maybe - cause he spends days at secluded beaches he has a knife with him - he's gotta eat. Maybe he kinda camps out from his car? has a few supplies?

Just a different perspective, Toyah had just been to the markets....perhaps she took fresh fruit with her? What if her own knife was turned on her?

She bought fennel and something else savoury, from memory. It was in a news article early on. Think she then popped home before going to Wangetti. Possibly dropped the shopping off and collected the dog. Anything’s possible though, so your thinking got me thinking and that’s what this is all about I guess. :)

Thanks for sharing that. He seems a very decent guy and my heart just completely goes out to all of them. Hell is on Earth.

Just found this again after losing it for awhile so I’m sticking it here.

“His brother-in-law Harpreet Singh said 'Raj is too quiet, too afraid,' to commit murder, but admitted he struggled to deal with dying elderly patients

'He would get mentally upset and want to get away,' Harpreet said of Rajwinder's trips to beaches north of Cairns.

Mr Singh said his brother-in-law would go days at a time without making contact with his family, and had stopped speaking altogether as he became more and more isolated. “

Those bite marks witnesses allegedly saw on RS may have been from the dog.

I'm still thinking of the father looking for the wayward son................I wonder if dad is informing the investigators on just how this search is going? Perhaps he contacts them every day or even every other day. Maybe he doesn't?

Navy blue or black? I’d expect a 4WD roof to be visible over the carport roof due to its height and the position of the photographer, but you can’t see it. Wonder if it’s a smaller car instead?

I’d say you’re right regarding the height. Also, the real estate wheels appear to be standard flat rims with oval or almost rectangular cutouts, whereas the ones from the intersection look to be deep dish steel wheels with circular cutouts.

Indeed, there is...well spotted. Could be where you'd move a vehicle to keep it out of the For Sale pics..just after the neighbour's driveway

It's fascinating how people (the media likes to ask this..) offer an opinion about whether someone is capable of the crime. Like the neighbours did in the 9news interview. The neighbour's comments about his character and potential to do the crime were based on three seconds of waving to each other. Everyone is capable. The real question is not whether he was capable, but whether he did do it.

Using the 'struggled to deal with dying elderly patients' to explain unusual behaviour is an obvious potential cover. We don't know if he really was struggling. Maybe he was. If he worked at the same hospital for nine years, his work colleagues would have a view also of that. Queensland Health, his employer, has a free 24/7 Employee Assistance Program in place. Interesting to know if he ever actually used that service.

It sounds like the 'work stress' was potentially a good cover to do whatever he did, when he isolated himself. Bank records might show where he went (fuel, accommodation, where he purchased meals from) during those times.

And here's some more speculation on location and timing:

Comms tower pings obviously showed POI's and/or Toyah's phone at Lake Placid.

My guess is he's taken a very deliberate drive down to the lower (disused by traffic but used by cyclists and fishermen), part of Kamerunga Bridge, considered that a place to perhaps throw Toyah's things off, because of crocodiles and it's a large and wide river, which would explain why he has driven down Impy Street to get there.

The Lake Placid General Store, right on the very corner of Impy and Lake Placid Road, looks like it has security cameras (and most likely does have them because of that suburb). If he's driven to Wangetti or nearby before, then he's likely seen the lower Kamerunga Bridge on his way.

We also know there was attention in Moody Street, near the creek in that area. There is a Health Service building in that location (unsure if it is a Qld Health facility). Perhaps he's been to that area working for Qld Health or knows of the Health Service from his hospital role, and therefore knew of that creek. Otherwise, it's a very odd place to just know of, for someone who lives in Innisfail. It's not the kind of place you would just accidentally stumble across if you're driving back to Innisfail, ever. You have to be quite deliberate about getting off the road back into Cairns, and onto that Street. He has been to that street before also, and knew of it. We don't know why he was in that Street, although Police were searching the creek. Do we know if anything was found in the creek? I wonder if he had access to the Health Service building and went in there to do something (like use their showers or use the computers or dispose of stuff amongst their medical waste ).

I’m thinking wayward son could legitimately be hiding from Daddy through fear & shame. The brother Harpreet seems pretty upfront & the Dad might be too. Dad also might be quite intimidating and RS might be scared Dad will actually drag him back to the face the music. Time will tell.
