Australia - Toyah Cordingley, 24, body found on beach, 22 October 2018 #3

I just read the piece about Toyah's father. We all need to count our blessings that we haven't had to endure the pain and anguish he has.
So how is the 'International Manhunt' going? The murderous monster who did this has been on the run for for three and a half months. We don't want this to turn into three and a half years or far, far worse three and a half decades.

Is his father still in India looking for him?

Hopefully the cops took the father's DNA before he left for India because by now the DNA found on Toyah would confirm if it was or wasn't his son.

How a TNQ community is keeping hopes for the capture of a killer alive

Almost three months after Toyah Cordingley was murdered on a Tropical North Queensland beach, her memory – and hopes her killer will soon be caught - are being sustained through an unprecedented community effort.

It’s almost impossible to travel anywhere in and around Cairns without seeing photos of the 24 year-old and her favourite sunflower blooms, which are plastered on car bumper stickers and billboards.

I wonder how the search for Rajwinder Singh is going. I can only imagine it's like trying to find a needle in a haystack over in India. I hope he's living in fear, because one thing that's certain is the QPS will not give up until he's found, even if that take years, which I pray not.

It would be good now for the police to make a statement. IMO the public has a right to hear their update.

A memorial walking track to be built:
A Far North family is dedicating half their property to a bushwalk in honour of Wangetti woman, Toyah Cordingley.

The owners of K9 River Retreat dog boarding kennels in Kuranda have sectioned off 50 acres of land near the Barron River for a permanent walking track.

The area will allow the community a space to peacefully walk their dogs, or walk by themselves, and enjoy the natural wonder of the region in safety and without fear.

It would be helpful, the public is assuming Singh based on the information leaked, however given the police have neither confirmed nor denied that he is the primary focus of the investigation it may be that community and public resources are being wasted on investigating people, places, objects etc: that are not relevant and that is frustrating.

The hours tick by and the weeks and months roll on. There isn't a peep out of anyone, not here not India. Or could that now be Pakistan or Afghanistan?
Murderers don't like paying for their crime. Who want's to spend years in jail?
I hope for an announcement out of the blue like 'arrest in Toyah Cordingly case.'
Then I ask myself 'how is this going to come about.' We might be in for long wait. I desperately want to be wrong.

Thinking about Toyah & what is going on... has anyone heard anything? :(

It makes my blood boil that this deviant can just go hide...:mad:

I don't think we will hear anything until there is an arrest. Is the father still searching India? Is Interpol involved? Is the murderer's family still here? Is there still a bunch of detectives in the Cairns area? We all know who to thank for the lack of information.

If the cops are in hot pursuit I doubt they’d let their position be known.
Our cops know what they are doing I’m just worried about the political obstacles in their path.

I'm not so sure about being in hot pursuit. Queensland police only have jurisdiction in in Queensland I would think.
Federal police might be different but I doubt they can investigate in a foreign country.

Maybe the Indian police are our only chance. Do we have an extradition treaty with India?
This situation is not only messy, it's complicated.

AFP can indeed investigate overseas or in collaboration with Indian LE and Interpol assists them in doing that.

Good that radio is keeping things open for the public. However it appears police were pressured to say something. This radio announcer is renown for keeping relevant issues in the spotlight. But police really said nothing. The public really are none the wiser. Justice for Toyah seems a way off yet. Anyone know if the POI has sold the Innisfail house? Has his family all returned to India?

Good comments Breaking News. I don't know what to make of that interview but 'ducks and drakes' along with 'smoke and mirrors' come to mind.
I thought of some good questions but they wouldn't have been answered anyway.
Is Singh still the main suspect or are there a few others? Fresh eyes were mentioned. They are usually called upon for cold cases.
