Yes that has been posted earlier in the thread... is it sad I know that? haha been on this thread since early on
I think this one has been posted before. It’s quite short and worth a watch
I believe it to be the south end of Wangetti looking south IYKWIM. The north end has a cliff top car park area I believe.
There are evidently no ‘dunes’ as you might traditionally think of them (mountains of sand) but sloping beach and sandy area just bordering directly into the scrub. There is a little estuary too, you can see it in the vid.
Not sure if this got mentioned yet. Another murder happened in very similar circumstances not too far from here in 1985.
At (Buchan Pt) Ellis Beach. About 16 kms south of Wangetti.
If they want a profile of who does this sort of thing they should look at this dude.

Many tourists fly to Cairns then hire a car. So could account for being in a sedan. Caravaning is more common with older couples and usually in July/August.It seems police have stopped looking for that family? Have they found them and being tight lipped or what?
One thing I’ve noticed on reading again is that the family they’re looking for was in a sedan! That isn’t really a holiday vehicle like a caravan and the police say “two girls”. How do they know that?
Surely police can track a mobile device in the car perhaps?
Original quote from 30th October:
"We continue to search for a man and woman with two young girls who were seen picnicking at Wangetti Beach prior to 1.20pm on Sunday. “Initial information suggests they interacted with a couple and their dachshund (sausage dog) in the southern car park, and that the dog attempted to hop into the family’s sedan. We’re hoping this piece of information may prompt their memory.”

True but I’m just saying they may not be tourists. They may be local to NQMany tourists fly to Cairns then hire a car. So could account for being in a sedan. Caravaning is more common with older couples and usually in July/August.
It is frustrating we aren't getting answers we need. Let's hope there is an arrest soon. All so sad.
I read he was in an aged care facility in Brisbane . . . if so, it should be easy to rule him out (or not).https://www.google.com.au/amp/s/amp...r/news-story/7ead87566818ec5a7dcd636006812c01
Re Ernest Knibbs. He’s out, but he is old. Surely too old?
In one article I read it said he was known for being itinerant, and camping out. He was subject to a supervision order upon release in Brisbane but that was 5 years ago. Wonder how long they go for.
