Three fire crews were also called to the unit following reports of a gas leak, but police later confirmed that it was a false alarm.

Sounds highly plausible. If he - or perhaps Mr TO? - made this call, then that would be rather damning evidence. They would know where the call came from for sure.

Speculating here - what if he did attack her, killed her THEN contacted TO, freaking out. What if they had a conversation about what to do eg. throw her over the balcony.

Weirder things have happened. It's just so odd to me that they took TO's phone - when does that ever happen??!!

Yes, Isis ... very petite .. and very naturally pretty. And Tostee being so very much larger than her. If only someone could have called out that night, when they heard her screaming .. yelled out 'are you alright' or 'do you need help' into the night air .. something ... anything ... it may have stopped whatever was happening.

But there are so many 'if only's' in life ...... and death. :sigh:

I am tempted to think that Warriena may have been dead before she took her fall. This could explain todays arrest, if autopsy results came back with cause of death other than balcony fall

Murder charge, Surfers Paradise

At 2.02pm today, police have charged a 28-year-old Surfers Paradise man with murder following investigations into the sudden death of a 26-year-old New Zealand woman at a Surfers Paradise high-rise apartment complex on August 8.

He is scheduled to appear in the Southport Magistrates Court tomorrow.
