Enigmatic, yes it was quite soon after I posted. Nothing new- just an interview with a journalist who was at the hearing today.

OMG, another twist. I would love to know where he stands on the Autism spectrum. Never is there a reason to murder.

Scratches on Gable Tostee 'may have been caused by fingernails'

Scratches on Gable Tostee's face seen hours after the death of a New Zealand tourist may have been caused by her fingernails during a scuffle, police allege.

Mr Tostee had a number of small wounds when forensic police examined him about 13 hours after Warriena Wright's death, documents tendered in the Supreme Court show.

A six-page medical report tendered on Monday detailed a series of scratches, abrasions, red marks and scabs found on Mr Tostee's body on August 8.

These included injuries on his cheeks, near his mouth, back of his head, neck, back, right arm and hand, and right leg.

There were also a number of small patterned abrasions "likely" to have been caused by an object, Dr Nelle van Buuren said.

However the doctor said it was not possible to conclusively say how the injuries were caused because Mr Tostee refused to participate in a police interview.

"One explanation for linear abrasions in the context of a physical altercation is scratches from fingernails," she said.

"It is likely that the 'pattern' injury on Mr Tostee's right leg was due to an object which moved across the skin towards his right...the shape of this injury may be reflective of the shape of the causation object or part there of."

Dr van Buuren said some injuries were unrelated to the apartment incident, and it was even possible some scratches were self-inflicted.

It was even possible some scratches were self inflicted?! :what: Just to add a little credence to how 'violent' Warriena was? How she 'deserved' to be locked out on a cold balcony, most likely without clothes, or her phone??

Why. Didn't. You. Just. Let. Her. Go. Home. Tostee?? :stormingmad:

And more.

Police allege Ms Wright died less than a minute later while trying to lower herself to a balcony below because she feared "she would be subjected to further violence".

^As I suspected.

Mr Tostee's parents did not mention his autism in their affidavits and defence barrister Tony Kimmins said he only became aware of Mr Tostee's prior diagnosis on Friday.

Hasn't even done his homework!

Would not be surprised if the 'partial autism' was only ever mentioned in records from his counterfeiting trial .. never before, never after.

Yep. Which is more than likely why the judge wants it brought to light now. Show the lawyer was full of crap from the start

I wonder what marks of violence Warriena had? Marks to her throat? Possibly other things that would not have occurred in that horrific fall ... not that I know what they would be. But I would think that forensic investigators could tell the difference between fall injuries and other violence.

How did she scratch his back if she was tied up?

How did he eat pizza when Dominos closes at 2am?

IMO he scratched himself to cover Rries scratches up. He had plenty of time to think and do it before he handed himself in.
Surely his parents would have asked what happened to his face.
GT may not have seen the ones on the back of his neck, unless he was pretty good with mirrors.
Its so sickening to think what Rrie went through

When she was found, was she still tied up or evidence that she had been tied up? I am wondering if GT having scratches is a good or bad thing for his case? You can't gauge intent (S&M or defensive wounds) from scratches.

Is it possible that Dominos was still busy and they kept serving people? Alternatively, are there laws about how late Dominos can stay open? (eg My favourite pizza place in Sydney was close to pubs in Bondi Junction and they were extremely strict in enforcing the pizza shop closed before midnight and would fine the owner several thousand dollars)

If he is is sexually sadistic, it is the fear/begging/power aspect he'll be getting off on in the recordings (and in real life) - her pleading with him for her life, begging him to let her go home - those are the things that will be sexually exciting.

But I don't know if that's his schtick or not........it springs to mind as taping the assault/murder is such a common feature in sexually sadistic serial killer cases that I've read about. They SO often have recordings.

IMO This is the context of his commentary.
My gut instinct is that he led her into rough play knowing he would and could turn it around on her at his own moment of choosing. Their physical sizes were so different. She was immensely vulnerable to his good will toward her. Her statements reinforce the sense that she was in placating mode. Too late by then, he was on track to humiliate her in the ultimate way: threatening her life. He had to have known she would try to get away from him. This time he wanted her to exit from the balcony. He KNEW and EXPECTED Rrie to flee. But, mate, I didn't touch her out there, hey?

I'd love to know his sexual history with the other women who have come forward to LE. Was he rough? Did he hurt them? Did he coerce or rape them? I would be surprised if he didn't have a negative past history......

I don't believe this is the first time it's all turned sour with a woman for him. And I hope the truth all comes out in court.

There will be history IMO.

Did he even order a pizza? The whole pizza thing stems from the police affidavit where it was reported he called his dad and during the conversation said "I'm at dominos". Not going in to bat for Tostee here, there's just so much misguided information thats coming from MSM it will start making a mockery of the case.

These are good points. I guess he could be just identifying where he was.

I found the information released prior to the bail hearing to be tantamount to '🤬🤬🤬🤬 shaming'. I was hoping society was moving on from that. You can't have civilisation without civil rights, whether or not you dislike the spokesperson on a single issue.

Here in the states, most of our fast food places and pizza joints stay open later to accommodate the partiers. This is especially true on the weekends. Weird, huh??

You're right .. he could just as easily have been at TOs, as Dominos. (Still wondering what that call was about.)

If he was at Dominos, he'll be on CCTV. If he wasn't at Dominos, he may not have wanted to tell his dad where he was - his dad may not have been fond of his mates, or may have questioned his thinking.

Yeah, agreed. Watching Rries sisters plea for help and talking about the nature of her sister helps keep things in perspective...
