The judge said Hemming's Asperger's, which was not normally a syndrome that caused people to be violent, did not reduce his moral culpability.

So in reference to the Thomas Hemming case again - as he was officially diagnosed with Aspergers - the judge handed down sentence today and amongst other things said this:
Which is exactly what I'm saying about Tostee. Even if he is diagnosed as being on the Spectrum, his behaviour following Warriena's death demonstrates that he knew right from wrong (just like Tom Hemming's post-murder behaviour) and having Aspergers doesn't mean that Tostee should be absolved of any part that he played in Rrie's death.
another unrelated case involving feasting on pizza after the death...

I'm going to take a safe bet that he won't get bail. He was already on bail/waiting for court for the police chase wasn't he? And given his immediate actions following Warriena's death I don't think a Judge would grant bail.
Uh, O/T but Amee that avatar is wonderfully tragic! Lol. And Isis, you're in on it too? You guys have lost it. Did you see Ron Moss at the Melbourne Cup with his man-bun?
Controversial US “pick-up artist” Julien Blanc has been forced to cut short his Australian tour when his visa was cancelled following a comprehensive protest against his seminars which promote dangerous and abusive behaviour towards women.
“We can confirm Julien Blanc left Australia overnight,” Victorian police said on Twitter. “His assistant is also due to leave shortly.” The pair had planned to stay until December.
The immigration minister, Scott Morrison, said Blanc’s visa was cancelled Thursday night.

Victoria Police Chief Commissioner Ken Lay added his support to the widespread condemnation of Blanc, labelling most of his work “deeply disturbing and offensive”.
“Labelling women as objects and actively promoting the abuse of women degrades the dignity of our whole community,” Mr Lay said in a statement earlier today.
“We want to assure everyone that we have been paying close attention to this issue and appreciate that so many community members have expressed concern.

Bail hearing to go ahead tomorrow (Nov 18). Earlier in the day the report mentioned that there was doubt it might go ahead with Tostee's lawyer Mr O'Gorman saying he was uncertain and that the application was a "work in progress".
