A small window overlooks the nondescript, high-security, prison grounds. Locked prison blocks remain under constant surveillance; thick, secure, doors slam loudly; guards walk freely through long, caged walkways; inmates workout with whatever they can find, pumping chairs like dumbbells.

Some are granted protection status if they are assessed as "at risk of harm within the general prison population", if charges relate to "serious offences", if they are bikies or if they have intellectual disabilities. They receive new clothes, toiletries and bedding and then wait in a cell. They are photographed, fill out paperwork for an ID and talk a counsellor about their state of mind. Questions cover how they are likely to cope in prison, family and other external supports and what they are looking forward to when they are freed.

Doctors and nurses examine them in the medical centre. Some high-risk, at-risk prisoners stay in the centre, under continuous observation every 15 or 30 minutes, while lower at-risk prisoners stay in cells under camera observation unit in W Block.

Been following this thread from the beginning till now. Just thought of something that no one seemed to have mentioned. Just an attempt at what could be going on inside Warriena's head the last seconds leading to her death. According to the transcript, Warriena said "No, no, no......." TWELVE times after Tostee told her that it was all "on recording". He never specified what sort of recording. What if she had thought the worst -like Tostee had made a video file of all that had transpired throughout the night, of their entire encounter. And the horror of everyone in her life finding out all of it was too much, and this scared her. All of it getting out scared her - she had no idea what Tostee was going to do with the recording (he was obviously angry!). She was from what appeared to be a very conservative, Christian upbringing with strict morals and values. What if she was morbid with fear of bringing shame to her mother, her family. Her Mum was a Filipina, and the family and relations back in the Philippines could never understand. The Church community would never understand. The realisation could have dawned on her that the possibility of her entire cover was about to be blown. How prolific of a Tinder user was she, we don't know . She did operate under the pseudonym "Cletus" - she must have wanted some anonymity. The sad thing is she probably would have absolutely hated the idea that her entire last few hours on earth has been dissected to shreds for all to comment on :-(

Yes. Definitely agree with you. I think all we're getting is the interpretation of what the transcriber picks out of the audio file. Does anybody else think it's strange how different media reports has slight variations - is it because so many people have actually listened to the file and each decipher it differently? Eventually, I suppose the audio file will be public.

IMO MSM is printing bits and pieces to sell more or boost ratings, unless thats all the info some have. Then maybe they feed off other outlets like they have with GT's FB saga.
The DM said they had the complete transcript.

A copy of the complete transcript has been obtained by Daily Mail Australia after it was filed by Queensland Police in the Brisbane Supreme Court during bail application hearings by Mr Tostee which have been opposed by detectives.

I think it's pretty damn obvious Warriena was afraid of more than the Church finding out she had Tinder dates.

Not only was she saying 'no' before he talked about the recording, she was being threatened and bullied -- it doesn't matter how the words *sound* at that stage, the transcript is enough to see that Tostee was out to show her a lesson, and in some brutal and frightening way.

Not any kind of "interpretation" there. Just the words directly out of Tostee's nasty mouth.

'Drink driving, abusing the public and assaulting police': How Gable Tostee was known to police before Warriena Wright fell to her death from his balcony


Two outstanding charges against Mr Tostee from January 27 relate to an alleged incident which took place after police were flagged down by a tuk-tuk driver who claimed he had run from the vehicle without paying his fare, according to the court documents.

Prosecutors claim, in the court documents, Mr Tostee was standing in a nearby Surfers Paradise convenience store on Ferny Avenue, buying chocolate and 'using obscene language' when Constable Leigh Hurley approached him and was told twice to 'f*** off'.

The court documents state Constable Hurley observed Mr Tostee was 'causing alarm to members of the public attempting to purchase items from the store and that he was interfering with 'peaceable business'.

When the officer arrested Mr Tostee, the defendant allegedly said to him, according to court documents: 'What are you going to do small man, f*** off c***'.

Prosecutors allege, in the court documents, after being placed in the rear of a police vehicle, Mr Tostee then allegedly put his foot in the door to prevent it being closed, said 'f*** off' again, 'violently kicked out at' Sergeant Stephen Wright, who sprayed Tostee with capsicum spray which 'had no effect'.
