I hope that Rrie's family will be suing him ... for wrongful death, failure in his duty of care, supplying and encouraging excessive inebriation and toxicity ... and take every one of his carpet-laying dollars for many years to come.

This has been discussed before, but one thing in particular that I find so damning is GT's past history (by his own written word) with another date that he scared to death on the balcony. What did GT do to that girl during her encounter with him on the balcony that made her immediately leave in fear? IMO he set that other girl on the railing just like I believe he did to 'Rrie. Fortunately the other girl lived to tell the tale. He seems to have a bit of a balcony fetish IMO.

Can't wait to hear what that young lady has to say during the trial. No doubt she will be called as a witness for the prosecution.

I am having one of those moments ...
Does anyone remember where GT says "My grandfather just died, and I have never felt so sad", or something equivalent?
I remember reading it in a transcript in MSM (but now can't find it) I don't recall hearing it in the version of the recording which we have heard.
I know someone mentioned up thread about GT's mother being away for that very reason.
I am wondering if this death in the family is the reason that death was a theme in G and W's conversations, and a major contributor to G's emotional lability, and his father's weary flat demeanour.

GT has stated his desire to clear his name & feels he has been vilified by media.

Other than his brahs, has anyone from within the Gold Coast community attempted to paint a different picture? No past employers, colleagues, teachers, childhood friends, members of clubs/groups, community leaders? Point me in the right direction if I’ve missed something?

If he grew up on the Gold Coast, how has he involved himself in his community over the years in order to develop this reputation he speaks of? (reputation for/as what??). The media have presented a sleazy carpet layer who’s had prior brushes with the law. What are we missing? Has he coached junior sport? Given time to a charity? Helped a friend move? Cared for someone sick? Any random acts of kindness whatsoever that benefited another person, other than himself?

If GT isn’t a villain, I'd like to know what makes him a hero?

I think you're placing your own interpretation on the judge's words there. I doubt she would have said, "has little prospect of succeeding" because the success of the case is dependent on findings of fact by a jury. It's not her call and it would be a very prejudicial thing to say.
Correct, I did. But really, she has examined the brief, and judges are the experts. She knows the brief is flimsy. GT is using first class lawyers. They will expose any flaw/weaknes in the prosecuton's case.

" Justice Debra Mullins said the case for murder appeared difficult to prove.Yet, Justice Mullins said there was a reasonably strong case for manslaughter. "

Here's hoping the surviving participant would give testimony then.

Again, I repeat my earlier comment. <modsnip>

... on someone who cannot defend himself?? :waitasec:
He cannot defend himself here, can he? (bail condition not to use social media)

If he is guilty he should have the book thrown at him. I just dont happen to think he is guilty. I see two victims here.

You know very well that Tostee can defend himself here if he so chooses to. The bail condition with regard to social media just stipulates that he is not to use it to arrange meetings with any women he had not met before the bail was granted. Refer to link below.

http://www.news.com.au/national/que...-warriena-wright/story-fnj4alav-1227127945110
The alleged murderer has been given strict and unusual bail conditions:
- Tostee must live with his parents in their Carrara home.
- A strict curfew has been imposed, meaning he must be home between 10pm and 4am.
- He is no to consume alcohol and must paricipate in a rehab program and undergo “random breath testing”.
- He is not allowed to use dating app Tinder, or use any form of social media to make arrangements to arrange meetings with any women he had not met before bail was granted.
- Tostee’s parents have to pay a $200,000 surety, to minimise his risk of fleeing.

Likewise, has anyone cosidered the deceased was having an episode and completely did not comprehend she was 14 floors up when she scaled the railing?

if Rrie wasnt forced and locked out on the balcony things would have been different!

If Tostee were truly innocent of wrongdoing, and had just
(1)come out and called Triple 0 at first instance of the tragic ordeal,
(2)cooperated with Police when asked questions about what happened, and offered the recording ?
(3)also not left the area the way he did,
(4)maybe even reach out to Warriena's family somehow an issue some sort of message of support, sorrow for their loss, etc. afterwards

this story would not have unfolded the way it did.

The talented artist was only a teen when he came to police attention in 2004, found to be the mastermind of a sophisticated fake 18+ ID racket that earned him and two mates $30,000.

But it was a reproduction of a $50 note found on his computer that shocked police. Mr Tostee was said to have “exceptional skills” in art and had been meticulous in ensuring the fake IDs were of a high quality.

He pleaded guilty to forgery, possessing an instrument for making counterfeit money and beginning to make counterfeit money. Mr Tostee was given a good behaviour bond for his role as manager of the “business”.

Judge John Newton decided against recording a conviction.

Yes, that's something that interests me as well. Given Tostee's versions of events tend to be completely different to the other party (generally very tame compared ot what they state has happened) and in this one he talks about lifting her up and "manhandling her" out of her "lust-trance" I could well imagine that what he actually did was terrifying and extremely dangerous.

Likewise, did Tostee consider that if R'rie was having an episode as you describe it. That locking her on the balcony was ..... negligent at the very least. He had a duty of care.

If R'rie was having an episode as you describe it.
Tostee could have called 000 explained the emergency (that being she was having an episode she was a risk to herself or him) instead of:

"You are lucky I haven't thrown you of my (14th floor) balcony .. you psycho little *****."

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/art...r-aid-prosecution-alleged-balcony-murder.html

The US administrators of Tinder are being pushed by Australian authorities to aid their search for more than 50 women from Australia and overseas who were allegedly contacted by Mr Tostee via the app.

Bail documents indicate that investigators are pursuing statements from the women and have requested data from both Mr Tostee and Ms Wright's Tinder accounts, reported The Australian.

I hope they found these women to give statements.

BTW The pic of him in this article is scary especially his statement underneath (love thyself)
