Irrespective of whether you believe GT should be found guilty, does anyone actually believe he will be found guilty of murder?
Not me. However, I would not be at all surprised if the Jury convicted him of manslaughter, and if it does, that will be successfully appealed. For easy example, I was involved (professionally) in a case where the client was charged with 'dangerous driving causing death.' At no stage in the Trial was it ever contended that the deceased died from anything other than as a direct result of the dangerous driving.
The only dispute was whether the driving was dangerous.
What did the Jury do? Well, they acquitted on the charge of dangerous driving causing death, yet convicted him of dangerous driving. Obviously, later overturned on appeal. Appellate Courts will disturb perverse Jury verdicts. Juries do not get to negotiate or bargain or come to a compromise on an outcome like that.
