Even if they did distort the "story to fit" for the reward, they would NOT be allowed to claim it .....
And what percentage of nurses are reflected in the case you have cited????

EDIT to add ... happy to move on, as I don't want to derail the thread....
Take the reward part out then, it's still possible there was distortion to fit what was known about William's case, because that's what brains do, and because she was motivated to help.

I guess the thing I find a bit hard to accept about the RP alleged confession is FA would have needed access to a car - from RP’s alleged version of events it doesn’t sound like it was his. How would FA have abducted WT, travelled somewhere, held him overnight then shown up (presumably without a vehicle) at a shed behind the Kendall School; all the while a huge search underway in the area.

This news report quoted “Steve” who said FA had access to RP’s car the day WT went missing: NO ALIBI: Shock twist in investigation into missing toddler William Tyrrell

If it did happen, where did he drop FA and WT, was FA absent from the town for a few days, did anyone notice? How did he get back to Heron’s Creek? Doesn’t add up to me.

What this does make me think is that RP was more involved than he let on, the “I picked them up near the school” was to cover more substantial participation; OR he made it up, ORhe never said anything at all.

Note this article which implies, towards end of life (ie several months after he allegedly confessed to the nurse) his mind was getting muddled: Coronavirus halts William Tyrrell inquest

Everything above without a link all IMO.

Sure, police have lifted a lot of rocks and dragged in the low lives that dwell there for interrogation, but the referenced Sky News reporter in that video stated: "A man wrongly accused in relation to William's disappearance sued [NSW Police] ..."

Note the verb accused.

Who was actually accused publicly in relation to WT's disappearance? Seems to me that it would need to be a wrongful public accusation in order to be grounds for a large payout.

We‘ve also heard police say ‘no one is ruled out’ IMO, so how can damages be awarded until there’s a categoric decision . JMOO

As said in your link ....

Case witness Steve, whose true identity is suppressed by a court order, claims a lot of evidence points to Abbott.

“I believe that he, Frank, dropped (friend Ray Porter) off at hospital and had access to Ray’s car,” Steve told 7NEWS.

When asked whether the car claim supports evidence supplied by William’s foster mother, Steve replied: “100 per cent.”

I am also looking for a link that says FA wasn't seen for a few days, because I think there is a link out there (or in here) somewhere. imo
I have some kind of vague memory about that.

Local woman Elizabeth Rowley is now on the stand. She owned an antiques shop around late 2013 and 2014 both in Kendall and then in nearby Kew. She told the court Abbott came in on “six to eight” occasions to sell her antiques but she never bought any.

She told the court on one occasion he came to her shop in a white station wagon to show her some items.

Ms Rowley told the court another local man, Iris Northam’s husband, came into her shop and said Abbott was upset because he’d driven a “woman and a little boy” to Tamworth and hadn’t been paid. Mr Northam told her he was concerned it was “related to William Tyrrell”.

She told the court Mr Northam wanted her to tell her husband about his concerns because he’s a police officer, which she did. The court has now adjourned for the day.

(Testimony from lots of witnesses about a couple of POIs on this page)

Further to discussions of POI's who have been "cleared"....?????

In September 2021, The Daily Telegraph, in an article written by Janet Fife-Yeomans and Mark Morri, stated that
"All three men" named in the article, have been cleared of any involvement, at the Inquest."

They were:

1. FA

2. BS

3. PS

I don't think I have come across another article that states FA has been cleared???
Or is this a Police Media Strategy???

I do find this somewhat surprising, especially as we have heard that FA has no alibi for that day??

Yes SouthAussie the point I am making is if FA had RP’s car, why is he at the shed without a vehicle/how did he get there? Why is RP picking him up? If FA dropped RP off at dialysis and picked him up, he left the car with RP if it’s true that RP picked FA and WT up the next morning. Hence the RP story doesn’t make sense to me.

Yes I agree, and I have also been looking for that link .... Could it have been in the Seven Doco that was pulled???
Did that documentary also mention that FA's phone was switched off that weekend??? Can anyone remember about that??
imo

Interesting that your linked article is dated 7/9/21 ... and then two weeks later on 19/9/21 & 26/9/21 there was the 7News Investigates special where there was a focus on FA.

I had the impression that the shed story was about the following day (after William disappeared) but I can't remember why at the moment. I'll see if I can find why I think that.

Now that you mention it, I do remember something about his phone being switched off. I wonder if we discussed this on the thread and there are some posts with quotes.

Re FA's alibi/lack thereof. Would they be saying he had no alibi if his daughter had said that she didn't remember whether they were together or not? I think it means that his alibi that he was with his daughter is not just unconfirmed, but effectively disproved.

Found a link .... yes, it is from the doco.

FA's phone shows no movement for three days after that.

That's a great thread. Reading on from there, there's lots of detail from DrSleuth about the cross-examinations of witnesses, DP and others.

I am leaning towards "disproved" as well .....

Yes the shed story was the day after WT’s disappearance. So how was FA getting around that day? Why was RP picking him up if he had RP’s car (at least he had it the day WT went missing if you believe “Steve”). IMO.

I think that's ^^ the reason many of us were having emotional whiplash when the Task Force suddenly came ut and declared the Foster Parents as the only current suspects.

Last we knew, the Inquest was very focused on FA, and other locals, and things were getting very heated and interesting. Then suddenly and with no closure, that is all off the table. It seemed very strange and I still don't understand it completely, although I have some ideas.

Maybe that car was hidden somewhere and needed to be cleaned thoroughly before he could use it again?

Great thread thanks for the re-post.
