The dam was about ½ km from the Cobb & Co Road search area, and about 1km away from the house, according to The Australian.

Police divers search dam for Tyrrell remains

I suspect it was this dam (circled in red), due to its placement and approximated distance.

IMO The dam and the creek are the same location … looking at the images in the above article …. Just different terminology used by different media agencies ..
ALL MOO

A former senior detective in the police investigation into William Tyrrell's disappearance engaged in misconduct by failing to report prominent colleague Gary Jubelin's unlawful recording of a then-suspect, a tribunal has found.

Interesting to see the sentence. I wonder if this is a typical kind of sentence (seeing that there is an assault court case coming up for the other set of parents).

The biological mother of missing boy William Tyrrell has pleaded guilty to assaulting her partner at a Sydney bus stop.

She faced Parramatta Local Court without a lawyer on Tuesday and entered pleas to assault occasioning actual bodily harm and common assault.

The 34-year-old Sydney woman was arrested after the incident with her 32-year-old partner at a bus stop in Parramatta on Friday.

She was convicted and sentenced to a one-year community corrections order, requiring her to be of good behaviour. If she is charged with another offence in the next year, she may be resentenced.

I think the 3 areas that were searched, as mentioned in the photo caption (and mentioned in quite a few articles) were the house, the dam, and the designated Cobb & Co Road area.

imo
I remember, that a property was searched during one of the last searches, that was owned by someone, who's name wasn't made public (so as being very secret and ominous). Was it the property, where first a burned out, rusty car was found - I don't know. I know, that I was interested in the ominous owner, because I thought at the time, it might be a connection to someone in the POI-pool. Later I never heard anything about this property and a result of the search.

Interesting to me that both articles are from the same journo when there is no other WT news.

Yes, I remember something like that also. About a kilometre away IIRC. Which still could be the property where the dam sits.

I just remember because we compared it to the property (about 4km away) that was searched by SFR some years earlier.

(I think maybe you mean anonymous owner, as opposed to ominous owner.)

Luke is a fulltime AAP court reporter. He is probably hanging around the courts all the time, and so is catching these things that the other reporters miss. imo

"Ominous" because we weren't allowed to learn of the name. ;) Anonymous as well, of course.

This is her fourth assault charge. Also placed on Good Behaviour Bond fourth time According to News.com.au, 9th March 2018 who claims from documonts first one was in starting from 20006 reading the article was IMO I could see why William and "Lindsay" was removed from their parents care.
Yet she has shown she has looked after her two other children well and they are in her care she is a good Mother. I take the times she has faced court after William's disappearence due to emotional and stressful she is under, which in MOO is understandble.
It is also the same with William's Foster Parents I keep the same opinon the stress and emotional times they are having like South Aussie I do wonder how the Foster Family would be sentenced lightly or hard.

... arguing Jubelin had developed "tunnel vision" regarding Mr Savage and officer Lambert didn't concentrate on a call he considered an exercise in futility.

[bbm]

I have gained the impression that, by then, that opinion would have been shared by the other members of Strike Force Rosann.

In referring back to, and based on this incident, I wonder if it was a good idea for Detective Lambert to be transferred out:

'Ranting and ravings': ex-Tyrrell detectives pulled apart after heated argument, court told
“He said Mr Lambert then stormed out of the room and other officers reported seeing him throw his phone and keys and say "f--- it, I'm out".
Mr Jubelin said Mr Lambert, a kickboxing champion and former sparring partner, then came towards him "spitting venom" and wanting to fight. Mr Jubelin threw his belongings down and stood his ground, he said.
“He had lost the plot," Mr Jubelin said. "It was just ranting and ravings ... I believe this job broke him."

Probably was for the best. Laura Beacroft was seconded to SFR for 8 weeks. She ended up staying 2 years, before she went back to the Sex Crimes squad. Laura was often the go-between, between Lambert and his staff, as Lambert was "strangely silent".
Laura was also the officer who suggested they look at PS more closely.
(Source: I Catch Killers, Gary Jubelin & Dan Box, chapter White Spider)

Lambert took extended leave after the incident, then they moved him. (MSM links posted previously, and it is mentioned in Jubes' first book.)

Ultimately, there was too much work and not enough resources. AS OIC, Lambert had thousands of items to complete ... while the other officers had hundreds of items to complete ... which was evident and listed in the monthly reports.

Lambert's primary interest (as a POI) was postie. (Link posted previously, from Jubes' 1st book, I think in the chapter White Spider.)

Because I think, the FPs didn't murder little W, he could be living somewhere indeed. Years ago, I thought, he could have been pimped to look like a little girl, hair grown long. But what, when he began to visit school? Then it would have been impossible (nearly) to have him living as a girl, IMO.

What is the home-schooling situation like in NSW (and/or other areas)? ie is it allowed? Is it common? Does one need to obtain permission from the govt/school board and outline education plans for what they'll be doing? How well are home-schoolers overseen, or aren't they?

Just from googling, no personal experience: Registration with a state authority is required, plans and achievements documented. Rough calculation, around 0.7% of students are homeschooled, 2021 figures. About actual supervision I don't know.

With a child who can suffer from Asthma attacks ( as with William) there would surely be requirements for Medicare cover when visiting a Doctor and for Pharmacy scripts .... in the event of prescribed medicines.

I would imagine this would complicate an abduction for someone, in Australia, to continue caring for William.
