Mr Spedding took part in a 10-page recorded interview with detectives soon after little William l went missing on the day the tradesman was due to fix the toddlers grandmothers washing machine.
His whitegoods repair van was seen parked in the quiet Kendall street alongside those belonging to police and emergency workers involved in the investigation in the days after William disappeared on Friday, September 12 last year.

bear I am sure I saw/heard it said police called BS to return and repair the washer. I will keep looking, I could have been dreaming.
However this article .. does indicate that the street was closed of to the public. So it could be assumed that police would have had to know and approve for BS to enter the closed off street, regardless of who made the call for him to return. I doubt the family would not have requested he return without police suggestion or OK.
Given BS confirmed in his video that he returned on Thursday the 18th Sept to repair the washer. I wonder if the interview and washer repair we not happening at the same time.
Could that interview have taken place on the 18th as well at the command post.
