just reposting this article, its interesting to read again...

If someone took William, it is unlikely to have been their first offence, says Dr Michael Diamond, a forensic psychiatrist and criminal profiler. “You don’t just do this sort of crime for the first time,” he says. “You would have to overcome other experiential things that confront you if you are going to do something of that magnitude. Is it somebody who has access to a child, and thought about it and not done it because their contact is too obvious, and so it has been
a rehearsed and lived-in fantasy without the terrible outcome?” Diamond asks

this is an interesting site i found while searching the names of the neighbours commenting on the street christmas party, and if you scroll through the pages there are a lot of photos taken of the search for william which i havent seen before, not sure if this person is a freelance photographer for fairfax photos?

Great find bearbear. The pic of the neighbour leaning on the Benaroon sign looks like BS (it's not) and drains behind Grandma's house. Wow!
I was surprised how thick the trees are on the block in the pic, someone could hide without being seen.

I do remember reading that William, or at least his family, was at a previous gathering. I wish I could find where it was mentioned.

In my opinion, this stuff doesn't come out in the media by coincidence.

The society we live in allows these pedephiles to exist and remain in your society. Its your society that your living in, so you and everyone else in the society is to blame. No need to get angry about it when, in fact each and everyone who lives in this society is to blame.

I find that an interesting comment JD and I would like to understand your thoughts further.

I agree that this is OUR society (I am presuming you are part of it) and we should perhaps be a whole lot less accepting of the things that are unacceptable (if that makes sense!) yes, we should do something about it.

IMO, a step toward any change involves being ANGRY about the existing situation/behaviour and deciding to no longer tolerate that.

The great thing about groups of people (like websleuths) is that there is an opportunity for a collective voice to be heard.

As I said, just my thoughts..

I often think about whoever tipped police off to do the search in the forest. Obviously this person knows something.

But nothing was found and I think a vecihile was seen to drive in there so they searched it. Probably nothing

Yep Krig, this is the irritating and annoying part about lawmakers and their executors - often the 'loose interpretation' allows free reign for those who are being clearly ridiculous, one-track small minded and lacking in humanity.

at the same time 'DATING a minor' - 20 or 2 years or months ago - what does that mean? Were they in the same age bracket?

I thank you bearbear, and echo your feedback TGY - my first impact - I was struck with wonder at the reason for the attention to the Cemetery.

And then I noticed the lady picking up her kids - would that be a white 4 wheel drive?

Not by anyway casting any aspersions on her or anyone else - personally, I am just wondering at the pics, I guess it's a bit like being at an art gallery - I strive to understand their purpose, their intent, their message.

here I feel the reference, but also accept that the 4 wheel drive in William's case could have been someone doing just this, or anything else, innocently or otherwise.

And interesting portfolio - who is the photographer ?

He once lived not far from grandma. Wasn't there talk earlier about William having been at a street Christmas party there? (Back when we were discovering that it wasn't William's first trip to grandma's, even though it had been reported as such early on.)

Here is a reference to a few Christmas parties on that block, where everyone is invited. I'm not sure why we thought William could have been at one of them. Perhaps we were speculating? Or was it mentioned in another article?

"We have had a couple of Christmas parties on the next door neighbour's block and everyone is invited. But you don't spend your life looking at what other people are doing."

Some of the articles say walking distance, wish we knew the address.......

IIRC there was an article way back that mentioned the family being at a neighborhood or Christmas party but I don't think it mentioned William. The way it was written though I think we assumed he was there.

Yes it seems to go to the extreme one side or the other, no happy medium.

To clarify, It happened 20 plus years ago.

Nothing against the mum but I would not allow my children being photographed considering a child had been abducted so close to my home. I do remember the same woman and children in the media after William's abduction and it pinpointed where the family lived.
I think 'helicopter parenting' is warranted in this respect.

I think a white 4WD would be very common...they are in my area which is near a river and semi rural. Up there probably even more so.

I noticed the one (4WD?) which was parking in front of the Post office ...

also wonder what the relevance is of the 2 photos of the big brown house on the camden haven river by the bridge?
http://consumer.fairfaxsyndication.com/C.aspx?VP3=SearchResult&VBID=2ITP1GMBDS37X&PN=4

... I wondered about the Camden Haven River and if there is access to it in the vicinity of grandma's house and if there was perhaps a small yacht waiting ...?? The attention focused on the road, but the escape route through the forest to the river? :dunno:

Someone here on WS spoke about "transgender" re DN. Maybe DN dressed (plus wig) as "a nice old lady" with ruffle blouse (allegedly it had been seen a woman in one of the parked cars)? Only assuming something extraordinary, which would complicate the investigation of this mysterious abduction. :dunno: also!

White 4X4's are everywhere in Aus. Even I drive one.

Does anyone else feel a lack of urgency from LE in this case? To me LE is either of the opinion that, sadly, William is no longer alive or that William is safe but they are unaware of his location. The information released by William's family regarding what William likes and doesnt like seemed to be aimed at a person who was caring for him but doesnt know him very well. I am of the opinion that this was not an abduction by pedos but an abduction by someone who feels they have a right to have William in their care. I seem to remember reading on one of the facebook groups way back in the beginning that there is a connection between William's bio family and BS family. My post will probably be deleted for mentioning facebook rumours but the person who wrote the post was confident that they knew the connection and, indeed, had seen a photo showing the connection.
