Does anyone else feel a lack of urgency from LE in this case? To me LE is either of the opinion that, sadly, William is no longer alive or that William is safe but they are unaware of his location. The information released by William's family regarding what William likes and doesnt like seemed to be aimed at a person who was caring for him but doesnt know him very well. I am of the opinion that this was not an abduction by pedos but an abduction by someone who feels they have a right to have William in their care. I seem to remember reading on one of the facebook groups way back in the beginning that there is a connection between William's bio family and BS family. My post will probably be deleted for mentioning facebook rumours but the person who wrote the post was confident that they knew the connection and, indeed, had seen a photo showing the connection.

Yes I remember it well...although I never did see the photo myself.

This is off topic and not sure it's allowed but is anyone else following the Noah Chamberlin case? It's reminding me of when William first went missing.

Disappeared without a trace near his grandma's house, dogs not picking up a scent and no sign of him found. :(

and today we hear of Karen's fate .. Why oh Why ... people under questioning .. We don't yet know..

I just can't help wondering why those people are available for suspicion / questioning / bla bla ..

Honestly, our judicial system needs an overhaul .. As a society we need to get real as far as what is acceptable and what is not.

And what are the consequences for non compliance..

F$&? how many of us on here are Parents?

How tuff was it for us to be responsible & genuinely caring parents, and weather the storm that came with it?
And how many of us can now look back and say, OMG, how hard was it, but at the same time, how proud are we of the decent, contributing people our kids are now?

My point being (and of course this is all just my opinion & thought sharing, and welcoming communication)

CONSEQUENCES for overstepping the acceptable boundaries that govern our society are important at all ages and levels.

We put our 2 year old in a corner for thought & reflection on consequences - no toys, no engagement, no option to move until time is up.

At the same time, we place our Murders, Rapists, Pedophiles, Child Molesters, Child Abusers & Domestic Violence perpretators in a situation that is all about 'their rights ' ... what they want to eat, to view, to have at their finger tips for exercise and study, for 'protection' .. Can you believe!!

IMO, they gave up those rights when they chose to ignore the basic human principles of behavior.

in saying this, I acknowledge the abhorrent situations that some of these preparators have been exposed to & become accustomed to - however, also in saying that, there is nothing for me that says that these people do not know right from wrong, acceptable from unacceptable. The very fact that they go to such lengths to conceal their behavior, exposes this fact IMO.

The most resounding lessons for me have been those that were hardest learnt, and no matter what way I analyse, it all comes down to 'consequences'.

Even when I look at the beginning of Australia's non-indigenous population, and what this country has become in that time, I see that as a result of stringent 'consequences'.

My huge concern is for the 'cheapness' that seems to being rapidly applied to human life, however, I do not find that 'cheapness' to be consistent with what the majority of our constituents want for this country.

At the risk of repetition, but mindful of rules, I emphasise, all of this is just my opinion.

In saying that, if these sentiments are shared overwhelmingly, I do believe that we need to have a Voice before it is too late to save the values that we have treasured and allowed us to feel safe.

Yes :( Horrible. Been following it 24/7. Its about 10 hours from where I live. Just so sad, and its below freezing here. There was another case, Rain Peterson where dogs didn't pick her scent up either and she was found in a field opposite from where they were looking after 2 days.
I don't think they are looking in the right area IMO.

it will be interesting to see the outcome of bs next court hearing for the historical rape charges, i really hope they have found the "missing" paperwork and the case isnt thrown out, that little three year old girl was raped repeatedly causing serious trauma and she and her sister have had to live with this their whole lives, someone has to be held accountable and punished and maybe then other victims will feel safe in coming forward

And why does she appear to be condoning it?

Why on earth have they deferred sentence until February? He's pleaded guilty, FGS!

The article I posted was from December 2014.
Sorry should have noted that.

Pleaded guilty the bloody fool .... because he did not want to go to jail according to his wife.
Sentenced to 16 month suspended sentence in Feb 2015 and presumably the AVO remained in place that he did not contact the victim.

Yet !!! he is in court today for breaking the AVO, go figure.

No regard for the law these cretins.
imo

Maybe I'm mistaken, but I didn't get that he broke the AVO from that article. It says he failed to report on a particular time and date to which he has not entered a plea. His other background info on the other POI's and his impression of the WT case is interesting. I would be very interested to know the background for what he was charged with in the 1st place and wondering if he did plead guilty cause he was in fear of being stitched up by police. Again... guess we'll never know. The point I'm making is I would not underestimate the huge pressure the strikeforce are under to come up with a result aound WT.

Yes, of course they are under pressure. Not just to solve the WT case but to get the filth who harm our children off the street too. And they seem to be doing a darn good job, especially recently. Pity the magistrates didn't back them up. IMO

As I said in an earlier post, if the magistrates weren't so lenient, perhaps little William would still be home with his family where he belongs. IMO

The Saturday Telegraph can reveal Paul John Bickford — the former president of grandparent support group GAPA (Grandparents As Parents Again) — allegedly breached court orders imposed on him over child sex offences around the same time he was photographed by this newspaper visiting his wife’s home in Port Macquarie on September 7.
Bickford pleaded guilty to indecently assaulting an 11-year-old girl who suffers Asperger’s syndrome during a drive to the shops to buy her lollies.

He was given a 16-month suspended jail sentence last February and barred from contacting children.
