This case just gets weirder and weirder for me. I knew Karen and Daryl for a brief time in the early 90's. I remember them as really lovely people. 6 degrees of separation indeed.
You're not the only one who feels that way, froggy. That's why I posted earlier that this is 'Alice Through the Looking Glass' stuff. It's an obscure reference to the sentence ''Curiouser and curiouser!' Cried Alice (she was so much surprised, that for the moment she quite forgot how to speak good English)' from Lewis Carroll's children's book 'Alice's Adventures in Wonderland & Through the Looking-Glass'. That's exactly how I've felt during the past three years — utterly astounded by the circumstances of William's 'complicated family history', his disappearance and the 'cast of characters' we've discovered as a result of the investigation.
Your connection to and experience of the Cliffords as a couple just makes this all the more 'curious.'
Talk about a spider's web. I had the feeling that the illustration behind William's picture on the poster published last September was an apt one. No wonder Strike Force Rosann is NSWPOL's largest ever investigation into a child's disappearance.
