i will have a little search & if i can find anything i will add it to my 'soon to be posted' after exam blog -- good points. I'm sure if you couldn't find much, then probably i cannot either. I do find i can locate entirely different things depending on which tablet/phone/mac i use though. it's weird. Think it's a security thing & having different settings for each? No idea.

Interesting read:

Long-term missing child guide for law enforcement: Strategies for finding long term missing children
National Center for Missing and Exploited Children
2016

‘This guide, based on recommendations made during a long-term missing child summit held at the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children in April 2014, outlines recommended practices to be used by law enforcement with these cases. This ground-breaking guide includes best-practice recommendations and a wealth of valuable resources to assist law enforcement with these challenging and complex cases. Topics, as shared by professionals in the field, recovered victims and family members of victims, range from an overview of the problem to specific investigative practices, policies and principles including information about the value of evidence review, complexities of child abductions involving long-term confinement, value of search considerations, importance of identifying recovered but unidentified children, and complexities of family dynamics and survivor recovery. 226 pages.’

If you have to go to a psychic to be sure your husband is innocent maybe thinking the doll was planted wasn't the first thing that sprung to mind?? Im only guessing here. But remember the doll was discovered a while before it was actually released to the press (although some WS's knew about it).

Or, the doll could have been planted by the kids, so MS's explanation also true.

Thanks iailwa. Exams first! It is weird. Sometimes my Boolean searches work and other times I get a whole heap of irrelevant links. It may depend on the browser, etc. At this rate I’ll have to go back to Uni if only to get access to the library for a refresher (and free subs for scholarly journal articles).

Sadly it could be a Derek Percy type young male who has grabbed William. An opportunistic abduction. On a bike perhaps.

Yes, I read about him too. We were discussing the possibility of a bike being used a fair few posts ago. I think Vicki Barton’s killer used a bike with a trailer all those years ago to transport her:

According to the dates in Mako, Jessop would have been about 15 when he killed Vicki Barton. That surprised me. Unless he'd been offending against family or acquaintances for years.

Yes, it’s shocking. Three year old Cheryl Grimmer’s alleged murderer was 16 and has only now been charged — 47 years later:

There’s been a few other murders of children by children, albeit rare:

I’ve read that many of these children have a history of cruelty to animals. No doubt their younger siblings and childhood acquaintances would be at risk too.

Was BS being held in jail in April 2015? Was he in the same place as DH at that time?

I do think that a grape vine of sex offenders have shared information regarding who took William. Via phone ,internet or in personal contact.

theres also that blurry screen shot of william too, briefly glimpsed in the tv interview on the back walll of the det jubelins incident room, it was discussed at length here, but still wonder about it and if it was something found on someones computer search? it seems a strange photo to have of him on their wall?
hope this link to photo works

Spiderman suit on? As if looking at screen and someone has captured his image from a different computer.

Just a little reminder about another man living in the area. Rehash for memory sake.

The
Herald Sun can reveal detectives have interviewed Derek Nichols, an elderly man listed on the child protection register, several times and searched his home on the state’s mid-north coast.

Yes there is discussion about this photo in #14 or perhaps #15. I was wondering if it may be taken during a supervised visit to his BMs home?

yes maybe, but wondering what the significance of it was to have up on the incident room wall?

I think that photo is of huge significance. Personally I think it's definitely a acreenshot taken from a computer. Definitely not a clear photo that would be used I believe.

i agree, and also think it was very strategic showing it briefly like that, and its not what you would call a happy photo like all the others we see on msm where william is beaming and full of life

Yes, it looks like he could be talking on FaceTime or similar. Or perhaps playing a game on a computer and the computer camera was on.

Also looks as if it is printed on paper, not an actual photograph developed at a photo shop or printed on photograph paper.
If you blow the picture up, the top edge is rough and one of the bottom edges is curling under.
