Did we actually hear or read that BS was moved down the list of pois ?

Not in Jubes’ recent media presser, anyway:

’(10:17) R:

'It's been described as Bill Spedding was a person of interest. Is he still a person of interest twelve months on?'

(10:23) GJ:

'This is a current investigation. I won't speak specifically in regards to persons of interest. We keep an open mind to everything until this is solved but I will not discuss specific persons of interest.'

http://www.websleuths.com/forums/en...e-of-William-Tyrrell-7-News-12-September-2017

Maybe elsewhere? Perhaps deugirtni can provide an MSM link?

That's what I thought. A few posted have mentioned his moving down the poi list but I can't find where the info has come from ?

It also does not mean Spedding is not the perpetrator. He may or may not be. He is still a named POI and has not been relieved of that status.

I still believe he is #1 POI, thinking back to the pressure put on him in the beginning. I don't believe the police would have cleared out his septic tank etc, if there had been anyone whatsoever(apart from MS) who recalled seeing him at school assembly. The moment you lie to police about where you were, you'd better have a good reason.
I don't believe he was there, if not one person saw him sitting behind, in front, next to them, coming in or going out. Wouldn't surprise me if the police made a seating map of the whole assembly and know exactly where every person was sitting.
lol and don't get me started on his creepy video.

Pedo groups 'have all BUT been ruled out' according to GJ, and if someone like that were associated with BS, that sounds like it would have potentially been the tip that sent the investigation on a huge roll. They have been swarming BS since the beginning days, and still no arrest, and still not even a suspect, and in fact, he has been said to now be moved quite down on the list. I hope that in their in-depth pursuit of BS as a POI, it did not prevent them from giving other tips the attention they may have deserved at the time.

According to one neighbour (PS), the one fellow on the street is said to have moved away (house listed for sale only 2 months later) because he didn't like the heat. If you lived there on the street where this happened, obviously the police are going to be investigating every one of the neighbours, so why would it make one lone owner so frazzled that he felt the need to move? Seems like rather suspicious behaviour. I wonder if that gentleman is one of the POIs who is being covertly followed? One might presume that every occupant would be happy to succumb to whatever was required, IF they had nothing to do with it. With all of the horrible media chasing BS and the awful stories, errors, and inaccurate portrayals being written, BS still remained understanding of why police were investigating and pursuing him, and he freely gave a DNA sample. Meanwhile, this single fellow got so irked by being questioned, that he decided to move away within 2 months. jmo. (one can move, but they can't hide, right?) Although, 'three years down the track', it seems that this man was also likely a dead end, otherwise, there would presumably be an arrest by now.

I've been trying to find where it is said that BS has moved down the poi list. Can you help me out ?

I don’t wholly discount someone ‘fitting him up’ to draw suspicion away from themselves. That is, if they are known to each other.

Just bringing post 305 forward.

Oh the confusion.
Recent article 16 Sept 2017.

His grandmother would later recall there had been two cars parked in the street. A white station wagon and an older grey sedan were positioned on the opposite side of the road between driveways. Both driver’s side windows were wound down........................

Local whitegoods repairman Bill Spedding, 64, became the first man marked as a person of interest in the case and quickly became the subject of media attention after it was revealed he was facing charges in Victoria for historical child sex offences.

He was at William’s grandmother’s house the day before the disappearance to fix a faulty washing machine. Interviewed extensively by police, his house was searched forensically and detectives meticulously scoured bushland near his house.
A year after the search began, Mr Spedding uploaded a video to social media denying any involvement.
Investigators said this week Mr Spedding remained part of the inquiry but that he “had moved way down the priority list’’.

Maybe I watch to much crime investigation channels but it could be tactical to say BS has moved down the list of pois. Don't get too comfy down there mate.

I don't believe he could have been " fitted up" if he was where he claimed to be.
If he was at the assembly he had so many people to vouch for him.
I'd forgotten how creepy I found his video.

Assuming it is correct and BS has moved down the priority list. That would mean he is still on Rosann radar ....wouldn't it?
Regardless of what number poi he is on the list.

GJ ..........we break that down from high priority persons of interest to more low risk persons of interest.

And the strike force is comprised of members from Homicide, from Local Area Command and also specialised commands. The Strike Force Rosann concentrate on the high priority persons of interest.'

William Tyrrell: fear in Kendall where little boy disappeared

Thanks L. Also from your link:

’From his house directly opposite William’s grandmother’s former home, an elderly man named Paul (surname withheld for privacy reasons) and his son, Sean, have watched long-time friends and neighbours slowly drift away from Benaroon Drive.

“A lot of them have moved,” he says. “One bloke left because he felt intimidated by the police. He had a few problems. He wasn’t a crook or a bad bloke, just a bit of a loner. He wanted out.”’

So, not just the resident of #35 but ‘a lot of’ ‘long time neighbours’ of Paul’s moved out of Benaroon Drive after William disappeared and some due to intense police and media disruption to their lives as well as for the safety of their children and grandchildren. There would have been some natural attrition too, no doubt.

Not the assembly but subsequently, ie; Spider-Man toy or, say, anonymous tips? There’s no honour among ‘thieves’.

I don't think I'd ever read that article before, I'm sure I saw a name mentioned that I'd never heard before, made me sit up.

Was Paul the neighbour mowing his lawn and who took his dog for a walk ?

I delete my call logs all the time. They’re ‘messy’. Believe me, the fact that police had enough to search his properties as extensively as they did implies that he is not, let’s say, ‘squeaky clean’. Like Jubes, I keep an open mind until arrest, trial and conviction. I think there is a cast of characters. Just who did what, where and when they did it, has me stumped.

He was one of the first of the neighbours to look for William. What he was doing beforehand or if he had a dog, I’m not sure. We did try to figure out who was who, where they were and at what times, at one stage but I don’t think we got very far in our discussion.
